- My favorite cubing video turns 10 years old in less than a month! In this video, I react to that video and then make my own modern version of it.

Hi Brody!
My friend just sent me link to your video. It's sooo cool to see and hear so many comlements about such old video. Yeah my technic isn't perfect, I'd say it's rather lame. Anyway I really appreciate it Bro! When I recorded it I was nearly 16y old. Unfortunatelly now I'm cubing very rarely.
Best wishes to you and all your subscribers! Cheers!
You should try to get back into it it’s fun and there are endless possibilities for you to try
I wonder how I’ve never seen this video before! I can see how this video would have been revolutionary back in 2012, but I think it was more interesting to see how many new techniques we have found since then! Cubing has evolved so much since then; I can’t wait to see how much cubing evolves in the next few years! It also makes me feel very old to think that 2012 was 10 years ago!!
Hey yo Jperm Clock dude
@@Caffeinated_Cuber hi
I completely agree with your point that a certain time back then was a whole lot more impressive than it is now. Especially the sub 10 barrier. Even today, I think sub-10 is like the holy grail of speedcubing. So many cubers dream of reaching sub-10.
And unless a new, clearly-superior and dominant method of solving a 3x3 comes into play and puts CFOP in the grave, I think sub-10 will ALWAYS be an impressive milestone.
What do you think of the original video, and what do you think of my modern version? Should I make a full video explanation of my solve?
Also, I want to emphasize that any criticism I make in this video could only have been made with 10 years of experience and hindsight that Pitas96 didn't have when making his original video. He still deserves a ton of respect for making such an amazing video so long ago!
I think you should not get a haircut and grow a beard! Lol
@@DinoCuber I wish I could grow a beard :(

Brody I’m 8 I’ve been cubing for 4 months I’m sub 10
Wassup randoms I’m the comments. I’m a new cuber that’s been cubing for around 3 months. I only partially know F2L and only two look oll but I wanna learn that now that I finished full PLL. I just wanted to say you helped me improve at a very fast rate as I had my
First sub 1:00 solve 3 weeks ago and now I’m sub 25! Thanks for everything Brody!
I'm so glad I could help you make that much progress!! Keep up the good work
this was pretty much one of the first videos i ever watched and i've watched it more than once. Watched it again and really takes me back to when I was learning 2-look OLL.
Great new video as always!
I feel like he probably saw the skip cases but purposely went the standard route as to summarize a full step 3x3 solve, since he’s kinda doing a tutorial like breakdown.
Tymon Kolashinski break the WR by 4.86 WR average, please make a video about it
at the same day as this video!
I watched this video in March 2015 , 2 year old video then. I already had a local cube , then bought a cyclone boys 3x3 in April 2015. This is one of my favourite videos , a similar video was created by a cuber with hall of fame dong in the background, I think that video is deleted.
Cubing was simple then haha
I'm sure I'll say the same about my favorite cubing video by you when it's 10 years old. And I like shorts as a supplement. The more Brody videos the better.
Also the music used is perfect for the video! :) Great video Brody 👍
Glad you liked it!

Thanks for you videos, i would love to see more beginers videos from you, or a retake on your old ones.
maybe I have not enough knowledge in cubing, i am a beginner, but can you explain how to recognize the case of oll skip he missed and how to find the pll skip hidden ?
In the scramble I think I probably would have done the OLL skip even though the solution would be better if you don’t and force the PLL skip.
OH MY GOD YES! this video helped me so much when i first started cubing
I love this video!
That was the video that got me into cubing
Nice vid brother!
In case anyone is unaware, Tymon just got an official sub 5 ao5!!!
Hey Brody 👋 thanks for all your videos! 😃 You were talking about these easy to recognize OLL or PLL skips. As I'm still at the beginning of learning how to speedcube (AO5 of 35s)? I'm wondering if there's a video about that topic: How to recognize easy O/PLL skips. Thanks for your help and stay safe 👋 😃
glad you enjoyed the video! I have a video on that for some very basic PLL skip cases. czcams.com/video/Ju-qTY52_jk/video.html&ab_channel=BrodytheCuber
This gets more important as you get faster, but it definitely can't hurt even at 35 seconds!
@@BrodytheCuber Thanks for your response 😀👊👍 I'll definitely check this video 👍 Keep on the good work and stay safe 😘👋
Hey love your vids always learn something new from them. I just subscribed! Was wondering if you could give me some tips on how to be sub 20 on 3x3?
I have a sub 20 tutorial video on my channel!
@@BrodytheCuber Thx gonna check it out now!
hey brody
can you make a video that is in order from cross, getting F2L ready and doing F2L,doing OLL and PLL (pls do slowly. pls tell all situations
nice comp yesterday
Does anyone have a video that explains a reasonable order to learn things for 3x3 speed? I am a beginner, I know beginner method, where I was 1:30 recently learned easy F2L, and I practiced that and I’m about 1 min now. I’m just not sure what is a normal path of learning. Thanks if anyone knowz
Hi I love your vids they helped me solve a robux cube wit the advanced method I can't do it fast and I don't really use it because the algroethems ARE TO LONG AND HARD TO REMEMBER
Can you do a video showing us algroethems that are smaller but also easier to remember because then I could remember what to do also I only have a 3x3 but some of them I could use I'm rally interested of getting more robux cubes and learning them
Bro I love your vids you really helped me go from sub 30 to sub 20
Awesome! I'm so glad I could help
Hi Brody, what do you think of the video '5 Cubers Explain 1 Scramble From a 3 Minute To a 5 Second Solver' on TheCubicle channel?
Notification squad! Got here in the first 12 seconds!
Hy Brody, how much time did you spend to become sub - 10
Amazing
Hello Brody, I know this is an old video but u don't upload anymore so I have nowhere else to comment this. I recently started doing a strategy where I leave 2 of my edges switched during cross (so like M2 U2 M2), and I think it has a lot of potential because it is essentially a get out of jail free card (if u get a terrible f2l oll or even pll case u can just do M2 U2 M2 to get a different case).
Hey Brody, I just found out I’m going to the same competition as you!
Hey Brody! I ve started to take 4x4 a little bit more serious. I struggle on the first first 4 centers. Is there any way to deliberate practice them? Thx
Dont do first 4 centers, learn yau
@@jorian_meeuse yeah, yau is best for 4x4
@@jorian_meeuse I already use yau, i meant last 4 centers
@@alexbroone8548 ok well maybe you do this already but I use the half centers technique, not quite optimal but very intuitive so that makes up for it. And if you keep struggling you should do a ton of slow solves and think about how to improve your solutions
@@jorian_meeuse thx a lot
Bruh we need to find the guy that made the original video, see where he is today
Tymon Got an Amazing 4.86 ao5! I predicted he wud be the first one to sub4, not only me lol most of the cubers ig
THE BROD!?
I’m watching this at a competition right now
nice!
@@BrodytheCuber thanks for replying
It;s funny to compare thoughts then with now, Just like the comment beow, techniques are evolved. (look ahead should now also different then 10 years ago) Under 10 seconds is a miracle then like a sub 4 now, Wait till you see this video in 5 years. And yes make more of these videos if possible. It's all a learning process. Thx
I thought it we as about Dan Brown
Brody did you quit the channel why are u not uploading videos?
according to the wca regulations, he started the timer incorrectly
im really struguling
hey brody should I learn full pll or advanced f2l first?
full PLL
thanks
Hello Brody! So I managed to finally get to sub 30, now what should I work on, I get locked up not knowing what to do, please help!
What he is doing is he is saving the pair without obstructing it so he can put it in later (beginner pov btw)
Why not just insert it immediately?
