In this episode Africa React (Historical Africa) we will be reacting to 8-Year-Old Nigerian Refugee Who Defeated U.S Kid's to Become Chess Champion.
Meet Tanitoluwa Adewunmi, a young chess prodigy whose talent and resilience have captured the hearts of people around the globe.
A chess prodigy, Adewumi quickly soared. In 2021, his rating increased from the 1700s to the 2100s. Adewumi became a national
master and, just a few months later, earned his FM title. His inspiring story continues to inspire people from all over the world, and
multiple national and international media outlets picked up on his story. Below you can see one of Adewumi's television appearances:
Tanitoluwa's story is one of determination in the face of adversity. Born in Nigeria, his family faced many challenges, including
financial hardships and political unrest. But amidst the chaos, Tanitoluwa found solace and purpose in the game of chess.
At the age of eight, Tanitoluwa discovered his love for chess and began playing in local tournaments. Despite not having access to
formal training or resources, his natural talent shone through, and he quickly rose through the ranks.

@elainesmith7512 because just like every other ethnic group, Nigerians also have their criminals. However, putting biases, media prejudice, and focusing on facts only, you'll find that Nigerians are nowhere near being the biggest scammers (individuals and corporations included) in the world.
The US and other so called advanced nations actually lead in the scamming and financial crimes department. You, unknown to you, probably have a few in your circle of friends and family but some other group gets the reputation. It's the way of the world Elaine Smith.
