This song feels like this late night conversations where everione is melting and the words can't form phrases properly, and it's just throwing words away and laughing at it, such a specific vibe
Info for the average they might be giants fan (who if the audience at the Flood concert was representative, tend to range closer to my father's age rather than my own), I believe that the reason why this song has gotten a music video now, nearly 10 years after its release, is because the song has been popular with younger people on the internet, first as something for artists on youtube to make short animations to and then on TikTok. I only found out about this because people put it on a lot of their character playlists on Spotify. Speaking of, it's their third most popular song on TMBG's Spotify (which tends to be a pretty good metric of popularity for songs from older artists) and I assume probably got popular because of the lyrics being nonsense that you can project pretty much any meaning onto.
About the Flood audience-- I imagine that would attract an audience of people who are nostalgic for the original release of Flood, which was released in 1990, meaning people who were old enough to remember it coming out would now be at least 35, if not older.

I uploaded a video of this song on another account that I forgot about. Then I came back to it recently and was amazed to see that my video had over a million views. Apparently the song got really popular on Tik-Tok and people were making tons of fan videos for it. It's pretty cool that, almost a decade later, they're making an official video for it.

I decided "Icky" is my cat's theme song. He has a first name, a last name, has to be all up in everyone's face, and he is, in fact, an icky guy that everyone wants to get to know.
So you heard it here first. "Icky" is about a cat who wouldn't be born until 9 years after the song was written. Very cryptic. Very on brand.

This song makes my head hurt and I love it so much.
Is it abt a guy killing both of them after "dating" them at certain times? Because it shows how the guy wanted them to meet up somewhere and after, it shows how they probably died and got put into bags so he could hide their bodies in the trunk of his car.
What helps me come up with the story is that i remove some unnecessary words and rearrange the ones that make a sentence. Including looking at the animation.
There is also a chance that the guy planned with two other guys because it shows that they went in the opposite direction (left: went up, right: went down) and when their face changes into mean guys it could mean that they caught the girls. Befor they changed into skulls meaning that they were killed tHEN dragged into their car inside of bags (bc both heads went inside their big bodies symbolizing bags.) from the men.
And it would make sense with the line "the bag you drag behind your car" which means that one of the bags was left out of the trunk and it was being dragged so they got caught
That would explain why their faces are changing so much
