Who needs a silly old stratagem tier list when you can see what your stratagems truly are?

yeah railgun is nice for being versatile, however when everyone else has AT it becomes better to go with my favorite which is MG with the setting pumped up to 900rpm and a supply pack. i haven't done helldive difficulty however i tend to aways do level 7 difficulty, mainly for the samples

Autocannon is not that long to reload. People are crying for nothing.
If you only run it until it runs out of ammo, you're using it wrong. Sometimes You gotta dump the mag, but you usually have plenty of time to throw another clip in before needing to rack the first round.

I know. If you wear that backpack yourself, it's pretty easy to stay full clip. I feel like it has more ammo and fewer reload breaks than my primary.

Orbital Gas Strike shuts down any bug breach that happens
It also kills anything with a phuc it also kills anything with out a ridiculous amount of armor.

I was unaware of such strong loyalist to the Gas strike, I will not choose to dispute such helldivers as I know you must be the strongest helldivers out there, considering you are handicapping yourselves yet still winning. (real note, I'll have to revisit the gas strike I over looked it quickly because it wasn't as glamorous as the other stratagems)
@@Flameshot_while it doesnt pack the punch the other stratagems do, the gas strike can be very useful for strategic purposes and weakening tougher enemies so they arent so bad to deal with.
@@Flameshot_ the benefit of gas is that it annihilates anything smaller than a charger on a ~1 min cooldown. Stuff becomes a lot more manageable when you have 2 dudes running at you instead of 30.

I think it's much better then the single use one. But autocannon so far is even more to my liking.
Argument in favor of Gas Strike: cool down is 70 seconds. Denies bugs as well as napalm, but in a circle instead of a line, any kind of bug reinforcement wakes up to doom. Pair this with napalm and you get my favorite 2 stratagems.

The flamethrower is for all our inner pyromaniacs. It makes me feel all good inside when I use it.
Flamethrower's great for bugs. For bots... maybe use something else, as much as it pains me to say it. Plus, I think it was actually buffed recently, so that's nice.

Hey don't you talk shit about my HMG emplacement. That thing is god tier if you're not dropping it in stupid areas. You can clear an entire heavy robot patrol with it. You can even kill a hulk with it.

Arc thrower has honestly become my favorite support for both bots and nids. Have hit several 50+ killstreaks with it for both factions. Also jetpack is infinitely more useful than shield generator, that shit is skill issue just like the breaker.
Clusterbombs is only good for small targets and cant deal with heavies, while airstrike can kill titans relatively easily and close upwards of 4 bug holes if placed well. Until 500kg bomb is fixed and gets a higher explosion range, it is definitely the better pick.
2 people run Arc/Jump pack, 2 people run forcefield/Railgun. Literally playing on easy mode even on a helldive. Best part is that you can split into 2 teams and still be viable. My personal kit rn is Arc,jump pack, 110mm, and E airstrike. Honestly feels more meta than the default meta kit and it makes me sad lol.
How do you use jetpack? Like I tried jumping on rocks but it's jump is too small for that so how do I use it?
@@Armetar just practice with it, the more you use it the more you'll figure out where it is useful. It's great for covering a large distance when jumling down a cliff or a rock and it's great for getting you out of a dog pile, the shield gen cant do that.

this is the kind of thing I would expect someone to make if they haven't played the game but were active on the subreddit
in my defense i like the shield back pack, because 7 times out of 10 either: A) i will end up being the one who is being chased by almost all of the enemies , B) end up in a situation where im being attacked from all sides and my team mates are in the same or worst or C) tend to branch of the group to get either side objectives, actually do the objective, or get samples and the other extra stuff that will undoubtedly end me in situation A or B.
Valid I have team mates who bring it and usually drop one for me due to my more roamer based setup

Agreed. It’s just too damn fun. Combine it with a supply pack and you can sweep hordes off the board so the rest of your team, who will inevitably be running Railgun, can pick off the Hulks or Chargers, while managing to feed those railguns and your own machine gun plenty of ammo. Throw the hand carts ship module into the mix, and a 500KG and Railcannon to crush anything your team can’t handle, and boom. You’ve become the lynchpin of the team. The handcarts let you just keep calling in replacement supply packs for yourself while your team uses the regular resupply.

More often I run Stalwart for the advantages it has (mobility while reloading, almost double mag size, higher RPM), but I could see the MG's higher damage serving it well. And you'd conserve ammo better too, if you set its RPM to lowest.
@@panther-nk2hn First person i see that uses the same strategy i use, Stalwart with supply pack + hitting weakspots in automatons it's quite deadly.

My dood, its literally 2 seconds if its not empty on your own. And obliterates anything that isn't a heavy armored target. Have you actually played any of the strats you're bashing?
- Has plenty ammo
- Can 2 shot chargers with good aim & luck
- Rapid fire option if neccesary
- Makes solo runs viable when sniping nests/fabricators
- Kills unarmoured targets immediately, and comes with decent AOE.
- Stuns most armoured targets on hit
- Reloads quick if not fully depleted
- Turns into death machine with team reloads
People who critique the autocannon are just unreal. Even if the long reload was the only way to reload, it would still be worth it

I too was once a auto cannon main, sadly I realized that it did not penetrate armor as well as I hoped it would, so I quickly stopped using it because I really only wanted a support weapon that could deal with bosses and mini bosses
@@Flameshot_ It is a shame to see a fellow autocannon having left to join the other supports but I see our roles differ, I sit back and let my allies deal with big threats while my autocannon cleans out any key structures and clumps of bugs trying to escape the kill zone my team has set. Keep killing those big bugs man, it's always a sight to behold when a railgun takes down those vile Bile Titans and Automaton Hulks.

Using the shield pack makes you a meta-goblin/chaser and you think you are better than everyone else? Is there no 2nd option where if we select it, its to support the team? On top that its just better than the Ballistic shield?
Thats pretty much why I take it, if no one has nothing on their back but wants one, I’ll get it.
Overall, not a good “What XYZ says about you”. Mostly due to barely, if any, neutral stance to the stratagems
Late Edit: by neutral stance, you can keep the normal commentary, but also have something where you said the Ammo-Pack is the soccer mom of the group, you can say “or you pair it for the Railgun” for the types who use it for personal use. Not everyone is a bad or good person with a stratagem. Its not putting down, or at least I dont want it to be, its just constructive criticism on my end.

Man, that Fullmetal Jacket clip is basically my reaction to this entire video- some parts more than others.
Can't disrespect the AM Rifle like that, specially because it does so much work against automatons, can pretty much 2 headshot everything (even hulks) aside of tank turrets/Tanks.
Arc Thrower pretty much is an necessity at high difficulties in bugs because of those stupid armored Bile spewers when more than 10 appear.
Jetpack may not be that impresive, but for Automatons it gives you so much movility around bases, run away faster from 2 different armies, and combining with the AM Rifle you can get the high ground and nothing can shot you down aside of ally orbitals or clusters (in bugs the bile spewers quickscope you [very dumb] even with this so dont), and if you get cornered u have an safe exit, and most enemies up close cant jump or dash like the bugs, so it's guaranteed it will give you some time against melee ones.
Ballistic Shield can even repel Heavy devastator attacks, which are right now very tough to deal with because of their aim, which the shield pack wont save you from one of these (but for massive bullet/missiles it will obviously not work but repel some of the damage and send you flying).
What is the best thing on this list? DEMOCRACY!
Have you ever run a full squad of arc thrower? If you line up and focus fire on a huge crowd of bugs, they get wiped out completely, trust me, its fun.

To be fair the air strike 500kg and psg turn you into a bug nest eradicating machine and I’m able to get at least 60 total samples each game.

I run machine gun as it has medium armor penetration, good range, and good recoil. Good for dealing with large hoards with medium armor mixed in. If your team is struggling, it is more likely that your teamwork and communication are the issue, not your gear.... that or the GM is being a dick.

The first one already has me shook. I guess I’ll take my highest amount of kills by 200 more than the next highest person on the team to another squad.
The machine gun guard dog aims for headshots, and will murder the devastator bots, against bugs I would never, but its reduced range over the laser lets it only focus on the enemies that are real threats, only problem is the ammo inefficiency

My own personal opinion, the recoilless rifle can reload, the expendable can’t, considered that?
this man just looked at one tier list and hasn't actually tried using every stratagem
I love the Arc Thrower, just pay attention to where your teammates are so they don't get caught by an arc, to do that just make sure they aren't in front of you or behind something you're about to hit. I've been taking down Hulks with ease since i started using it and discovered that it can kill cannons. Haven't used it against the bugs yet.
I run machine gun and supply pack so I can feed the machine gun and my teammates, along with the Hand Carts ship module so the resupply can be saved for my team, and I just call in replacement supply packs for myself. Bug breach or bot drop happens, I hunker down and kill anything smaller than a charger or hulk in mere seconds while my team dunks on the big dudes. And I run 500kg and Orbital Railcannon in the event that they can’t finish off the big targets. Plus usually impact grenades so I can insta-kill those pesky walkers when we can’t get the high ground on them.
A lot of players don't realize you can supply yourself with a supply backpack.

But the moment I learned it, I was soloing missions all the way up to level 7 difficulty. Just had to pick my battles and wipe out patrols quickly, or isolate them as best I could.
Hahaha, "meta goblin" instantly became one of my favorite terms.
The patch changed everything. Lasercannon works against armor really well now. It's not point and click like the railgun (and im not going to call it names as I took the time to master shooting it before the nerf), you have to hold your aim on a spot for 1-2 second to melt your targets. A charger leg takes about 3 seconds and melts the whole thing. Doesn't have a big boom sound or a very satisfying usage experience, but it works and doesn't consume a backpack slot.
Meanwhile the laser rifle still sucks ass.

AMR has 36 rounds of hole-punching democracy that doesn't require a teammate. Also easy to use up close and shreds medium armor
Autocannon sentry will literally solo bile titans for you. Turn speed is just slow, so place it in a choke if you're using it to cover your sentry farm.
eagle airstrike for bug nests, eagle 110mm strike for bot factories
the lazer guard dog constantly damages your whole team cause of friendly fire
the gun run of the eagle is S tier against bugs. you call it down 4 times in a row, killing aroune 80 bugs with a 2 sec delay. They pop spitters all day and does in a straight line which is perfect when being chased by horde.
The Stalwart is really really underrated against bugs. Only Chargers and Bile Titans are (mostly) invulnerable to it but even then you can absolutely fuck up Chargers by shooting their butts and using nades.
Don't diss on the Stalwart.
Gas is pretty cool, have you ever tried it? Low cooldown, lasts quite a long time, has the highest kill counter.
Auto cannon is a goated weapon. Also, reload is fine, fire 9 shots, then reload. After that fire 5 or 1 and reload. All you do is slap the rounds in, and you're off. As far as the pack is concerned, I've never asked anyone except another auto cannon Chad to help me, and only if there's a charger/titan.
recoilless is just a better expendable anti-tank, considering you can reload it (slowly) and have more than 2 shots, also it can take down dropships
So can EAT, you get two shots every 70 seconds instead of 6 every 480, you don't need to stop to reload while being chased, and it doesn't take a backpack slot. I definitely prefer EAT for 7+ just so I can put out more rockets over the course of the mission.
If you are the hell diver with the 380mm, 120mm, walking barrage, and eagle cluster bomb at the same time on one mission you are what we call the "Fuck that entire general direction" guy.
Also if you've never used recoilless in a team setting do so ASAP. before i had the railgun i did this once because a buddy asked, and we put down 3 bile titans consecutively because i was able to unload all our ammo + 2 refills (an extra 4 shots) our buddy with the supply pack gave us. It's surprisingly powerful if properly crewed and we need more crew serve weapons like this in this game.
I'm level 18 and I still use the Orbital Strikes to blow up holes and outposts when grenades aren't present
There are no bad Stratagems only Liberty assisting Stratagems. Careful with your treacherous tongue, it could get you into trouble with Super Earth next time.
I use the armor that gives me 2 extra grenades along with the grenade launcher. Because i live for explosives

I prefer the gun drone to the laser drone. Yes it needs ammo, but it has never killed nor even hit me. Which I can't say about the laser drone.

The jetpack is great if you jump off a hill, you go pretty far. Or just use it to jump away from a charger

cringe takes ngl, especially the Anti-Material Sniper Rifle, it is really good at taking out Automatons. Especially Hulks from far with 2 hits to the head, so as long as you don't miss, you can take out 3 Hulks in one mag. One hit in the head for Devastators. It is a game changer at higher difficulty. It can also be useful to destroy tanks as long as you hit them in the back of the turret with a full mag, maybe 2 sometimes but hey, it can assist an auto-cannon in destroying them if you pair them.
Defense chads when then make a fortress’s at evac and the whole team gets to take a nap waiting for exfil
The spear I find to be vary consistent just stop trying to use it like a javelin you need clear line of sight/path and more ammo
Expendable Anti-Tank if for the people who just absolutely despise Chargers.

Bro, I'm a noob for using the machine gun? the video barely started man! I'm level 40 and I say for sure that the machine gun is too underated, I like the jump pack, so this excludes for me the weapons that need a backpack, when armored enemies appear I call down the expendable launcher to deal with them, so my support weapon slot usually get filled by the classic machine gun, and with good enough positioning and aiming not only I'm usually the one with most kills but I can deal with every medium armored enemy with ease and every heavy armored one with little to none struggle.
I'm not saying you all should listen to me and do what I do, hell no! but we all should actually test and use every piece of equipment the game provide, some stuff appear weak or too specific, but I believe almost every stratagem and weapon on the game has a decent use if you are willing to find it

I found that I got more consistent 2 shot kills from the back of the titan, gonna test it more though.

I run autocannon with its backpack. more efficient when others can use their own things.

For the bots it is not a bad pick considering if you hit the hulk in the head two times it can kill it faster than a rail gun, but for everything else it is just a knock off railgun
I run granade launcher, and i do so out of hatred for bug holes and factories.
All the weapons and stratagems can be good if you can use them correctly (obviously this guy cannot) An early game strategem is not a “noob” weapon
