  • Bob and his Honda CRF Electric and me on my YZ electric on the Lake Havasu AZ MX Track. Both running in Mode 2 , about 250Amps. I was surprised when he passed me, I know he is faster, but I didn't hear him coming...

That was fun riding the 2 ebikes at the same time. Your bike is working really well and with just a little setup mine should be as good. At Don's age, he rips and has a fun time doing it.

Is that a bell? Who would hear that?
Bike looks good though, finally see one on a track. Nice work. Hows the battery last? Can you fit a clutch to this setup?

Yes people can hear the bell, at 8:24 in this youtube I get passed by the other electric bike. but he surprised me, because I didn't hear him, and he doesn't have a bell... No a clutch is not possible in this motor setup. If you get a chance to ride one you will see that it really isn't needed. I answered the battery question to Tyson Scott in these comments

Watch this if you want to see the Honda CRF Electric at the Glen Helen REM track. He is a young Pro rider. czcams.com/video/Mmfd10CqUks/video.html&ab_channel=CasMoto

what are your battery specs and riding time?

72V nominal. Mine is a 20S14P Sony VTC6 18650 cells (42AH), and the Honda CRF is running 20S12P Molicel P42A 21700 cells (50AH). Mine, the 42AH battery, goes from 95% (82.5V ) to a little less than 50% (70V) in about 7-8 laps on a 2 minute lap track. But Trail riding it went to 72V (50%) at 12 miles. Or about 150Watts to the mile pushing hard. On a KX100 same motor smaller controller, he gets about 100Watts to the mile trail riding

Hi Donald, Are your running 72V nominal?

how long to drive if the battery capacity is 20ah?

Not real far. I have on my YZ in this CZcams a 42AH battery. I can do about 8-10 laps. I do not ride at a high level, but at 10 laps you can feel the power getting less. Plus you could only get 200Amps out of a 20AH battery, I am running at about 250 Amps in this CZcams
