      I'm going to get beat up but I still like Meg's 205. It doesn't dust, produces great gloss and easy wipe off. A lot of the newer polishes seem oily and hard to wipe off. I have tried almost all of them.

    I really enjoyed this video and learned a lot. I have never used reflect with their gloss pad but you have shown some amazing gloss before from this combo. My small arsenal has white Rupes pad and Koch Chemie, Fab, and Rupes Uno. I like Fab the best but now I am wondering if using the CarPro gloss pad would level the surface more than the white Rupes pad? Thank you for the video.

    I absolutely trust your paint correction abilities. If you have marks of 3000 left after using Reflect, that means I couldn't even come close to removing them.
    However, M205 is cheaper, and I can remove 3000 grit with M205. My choice is obvious.
    Great video Brian.
    Thanks for teaching and sharing.

    Another great product review from the master! It’s great to see ‘real world’ testing and the limitations that products have. I have the same gloss meter and can’t get it corrected to the baseline. Any hints to correct this (or links to the solution) would be appreciated.

    Hi, I seem to be getting some haze from using Carpro Reflect with finishing pad on my Shinemate DA polisher on my metallic black Honda. I did the cutting stage with a Shinemate cutting pad (green) and 3D One hybrid compound, which fixed the marring, but after doing the finishing with Reflect, it seem to leave some haze, which I thought was just stubborn residue, but I couldn't get it off after wiping it with IPA prep spray.
    What do recommend me to do? And could you tell me what speed setting did you use? Appreciate the help, Thanks!

  • @coolwrld302
    @coolwrld302 Před 2 lety

    Would using this with the Urofiber 50/50 pad get you closer to addressing the 3000 grit marks or would that be too aggressive and actually introduce haze requiring a second step anyway?

    • @apexdetail85

    Great video. But I will still stick with 3D one and one n 1 compound. These two compounds are all rounder for me. Best part about these compounds is just use any pad depending on job needs. I got some of the best gloss with one n 1 done. Especially dark colours. Plus $$$$$$$ matters now-a-DAYS.

    I haven’t tried Reflect, as my go-to polish is Essence prior to applying a ceramic coating. Yes, it has fillers. So it’s one or the other, but not both for a detail? 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @grand04gt
      @grand04gt Před 2 lety +2

      I have used both and if your coating and using Essence for a primer the fillers work in your favor but Reflect will give you similar results without fillers so i use that for cars i am not coating

    I wanted to ask if you could please shed some light on the cause of pigtails when polishing and the repair process for said pigtails? 🐷🐽

    • @jdisdetermined
      @jdisdetermined Před 2 lety

      You're getting pigtails from polishing? Or do you mean sanding? Either way, they're caused by debris between the media and the surface. Make sure the panel is perfectly clean and fully deconned before you start correction. If that is done but the problem remains, reduce your section size, change and/or clean your pad out more frequently.
      To repair them is the same as any defect. Use the appropriate amount of aggression to remove them.

    • @phantom9138
      @phantom9138 Před 2 lety

      @@jdisdetermined I got the pigtails whilst using my DA polisher, I had done thorough decon and thought I may of been overworking the section but debris between the pad and surface makes sense now. Thanks again pal 👍🏻
