How to build a lugged bicycle frame in 4 minutes at Big Forest Frameworks in Potsdam Be smart and wear safety glasses at all times, unlike me ;) Safety is number one priority, as always...
Thanks! I am still very happy with the frame and it holds up well. (almost 7 years now) Two things i would have done differently which is a) more clearance between cranks and chain stays and b) most likely different dropouts because on the small cassette ring the chain sort of touches the dropout but I was able to fix that.
My father did an engineering apprenticeship in the 1920s and was a frame builder. He would have been tearing his hair out with frustration if he saw the way these people use their tools.
I know there is a ton of room for improvement. Not wearing safety glasses alone is something I'd never do again. But still, I haven't had experience before working with these tools... So I guess I should be alrigit.
Sorry for the late reply! It's not my workshop but you could ask Robert Piontek from Big Forest Frameworks. However, afaik it's just simple aluminum profiles bolted together. Nothing too fancy. I believe Robert is using an Anvil frame jig now... could be wrong though. It's been a couple years already!
if you did that in 4 minutes i dout it .because 1 or 2 hours maybe and a frame is way to exspensive but taurus bikes italy i can buy complete bike 500 euro all made in italy
3 minutes of bike building, 1 minute of grinding coffee beans :D
coffee was an essential part of the frame building process ... so yeah, I think the ratio of 3 : 1 is about right :D
How's this frame holding up? looks very nice

Cool story
Eat your heart Werner Herzog.
What material are you putting with the brush before weilding?
G ZA they silver brazed the frame and they put soldering flux on the joints before
A LOT of flux!
Where to get that frame jig?

I think he means the video itself is 4 minutes. He is being clever with language!!
if you click on this thinking he actually is building a frame in 4 minutes u need to get yourself checked
