I don't know what it was but I just had the urge to film this beautiful example of an R34 GTR.
Thankfully Mark was willing to spend the day with me up in the mountains just outside of Seattle.
This specific car is equipped with a HKS RB28 which I didn't know too much about until Mark gave me the full rundown on them while we were out filming. I love what I do, i'm so lucky. Dunno why he's selling it.. it was a dream to ride in and a pleasure to hear.

I've owned a couple R34's and still own a R33. I would never pay over 100k for one, let alone 330k. Sad thing is, once you drive one and get past the nostalgia of it, you'll realized you've been had. The R35 was worth the 120k price tag. But the R34 and downward are just being price gouged.
Exactly. Just like if you drove a MK4 Supra you'd immediately realize it's a $30k sportscar and not $85k when the nostalgia is gone.
literally this. truly sucks how people will charge upwards of 300 grand for shit that honestly aint worth 60k half of the time (maybe I could understand it if it was a clean, unmolested, low mileage example of one but half the time they arent)
And it sucks.. My absolute dream car is an r34 gtr, and to see what has happened to the prices even just from 5 years ago is… insane, to say the least.

Call me what you will but god almighty do these cars just keep getting better and better looking the older they get. Especially in a nice deep gloss black paint with subtle upgrades and the sound of the RB it just doesn’t get any better…oh wait, yeah it does because Woyshni’s Media shot it 🔥
The R34 is objectively such a badass car, but it’s just crazy to me to think about how if it was never popularized by media the way it was , how different the values of them would look today
That was its beauty: it was a great car at a relatively cheap prices so people could enjoy it and not have like a trophy in the garage 🙂
closest example to that is probably what an evo is
Nissan rebuilds R32-34s for around $300-400k USD. BuiltByLegends a custom shop rebuilds R32s from barebones metal and up for around $330k.
Paul Walker tax is definitely a thing. I reckon prices would be closer to FD3S and NSX otherwise.

Big singles are better. That’s why everyone goes that route. They make more power down low and up top.

@@nicoone5179 dude. It’s already been proven that a single turbo makes more power across the whole graph. And they make more power. If u had two turbo setups both pushing 700hp for example. But one was twin turbo and one was single. The single is better in all aspects.
@@lennixsingh626 Also weight. Big single is less weight-by-performance compared to two sequential turbos.
The downside of a single is lag, more wear-and-tear, and of course fuel.
Sequential setups use less fuel, need less boost, don't lag, and have an overall better power curve.
The only reason to have a big single is for drag racing, something the car is not built for.
It's better to go with the sequential build, which leans more on the spirit of the car, gains you better lap times, and can keep the car in it's bets condition when done right.
Over the last 30 years it has been proven countless of times that singles are better in practically every single aspect over twins. As it turns out, nearly every single "response car" and time attack/ touge car uses single turbo's.
Singles are lighter, easier to work with, easier to tune, look better, are more efficient and DO make more power across the whole graph and ill prove it despite all the evidence already in your face.
Now wrap ur head around this. Garrets new gen 48mm turbo makes 550hp. If u used two for example on an RB or JZ it would be good for around 900-950whp. USING 2x 48mm turbos. Their new 68mm turbo is rated for 1050hp and would make the same power if not more. The single has double the flow going to 1x turbo that's only a FRACTION larger and heavier, meaning it would spool quicker and make more power up top.

You would have to be out of your mind to spend 300k on one of these. I like gtrs, but modern values are lunacy… when 32 gtr first came over you could get as cheap as 12-15 cad. It’s ridiculous what people are paying for gtst nowadays…
