Thanks for sharing so much!
Thanks for your support!
I have weak hips and this was excellent! I do not have enough balance to lift the mobile leg off ground but hoping to get there. Adding this workout to my normal routine. Thank you!!!
This looks great! I can do this using my rollator. I've been walking better, but having the issues you mentioned with my left glute and hip.
I've been struggling to find some good butt building exercises at my home gym. A while ago I used a modified technique of this to do hip thrusts with heavy bands. It felt awkward but got the job done.
Thank you Matt!
Thank YOU!
Thanks!
how does this lunge different from clock lunges? I notice your torso is at 45 degrees , does this increase load on glutes. I have a labral tear and doing step ups/downs for PT as well as clock lunge but this seems more effective than clock lunge with torso forward.
Great video! Do you have a band brand recommendation? I get a ton on band choices when I search on Amazon. I think most of them are not the type needed for this exercise. Thanks!
Go to his website (in the description box).
this is what i use: www.serioussteel.com/collections/41-individual-bands/products/41-0-orange-band-1?variant=43868623077615
but you can use any long band you can get that isn't super high tension.
Thanks, Matt. Could you explain the mechanics of it? Why is the band helping to recruit the right muscles? Does it also work without a band?
Band is pulling you back. If you fully relaxed, you'd fold. The hamstrings and glutes have to fire to stop you from falling over the whole time, so they cannot turn off. It can work without a band, but the band forces those muscles to fire much more obviously.
👏
Matt, I didn’t see the height the band is attached to by the wall. How high is best? Waist high?
Play with the height. I have mine around waist high.
Are you using an automatic tripod or why is the camera moving like that?
Yup, it's an automatic tripod. Makes my life a bit easier 😀
Is chiro a waste of money if i can do my own streches?

I don’t guess a rogue band would work for this as it’s quite thick?
If it's a THIN rogue band...and then as you get stronger you could conceivably use a thick thick band, but you better be strong!
@@Uprighthealth thanks Matt. I have 3. One I use to assist in pull-ups. Maybe an inch width. The other two need a good home.😁
