- In this video, we're going to talk about the real reason why you're still struggling to improve your controller skills in Fortnite. We're going to explore how you can overcome these struggles and finally become a better player!
- Hry
He’s not wrong I hold my thumb stick on the edge slightly in the center to give me more control and freedom to drag my joy stick like a mouse giving me faster mechanics when building
Ayee I like that
@@Lqwid appreciate it man plus I don’t play claw so it helps the transition from stick to button smoothly without accidentally nudging the stick messing me up
I use gyro, why settle for a tiny thumbstick stick when I can use the entire controller to turn.
@@Hypersend idk how to use that thing I just have fast sense that moves like KBM on controller
Same😊
I noticed the other day that I would randomly get better outta nowhere n it was cuz I changed my thumb placement. Still don’t know which placement it was tho cuz I used all 3
SAMEEE
Same bro
Yo this is so true bro sometimes when playing fortnite I can't aim for shit it but then there are times my aim is just on point
its a game changer for mechs and aim
id like to use my thumb right in the centre but my hands are too small so I suck automatically
Depends what you want. If you want control edge would be better but if you just want the least delay and most responsiveness, middle is better.
Something similar thats also important is palm placement. Especially when you’ve played for while it could shift out of place, without you noticing it.
could u plz explain ur knowledge on this more? how can palm placement affect aim and what is the best palm placement?
@@anemicish When palying claw I realized that my palm kept slipping while playing. When that happened my aim got worse and I missed edits. Ended up buying controller grip stickers. You could try that. There isn't really a specific palm placement everyone should use. Everyones hands are different what works for me might not work for you. The only thing I recommend is not switching up the placement, because that causes inconsistency. Hope this helps!
@@bruhplsdont3574 ok thank you so much for the information🙏🏾
@@bruhplsdont3574 Thank you for ur advice bro
I normally hold my thumb on the back of the right stick while I switch my fingers during combat, mostly about comfort so that's maybe why it's taken me three years to get good
This is so true thank u man 💯
I’m glad someone finally talked abt this? I’ve struggled with this for a while
Bro idk why but their are games where I pop off and then their are games were I’m just not good. Weird thing is I change my grip for some reason
What grips do you change from?
Some games have diff settings
@@Lqwid tbh I have no idea. I just mix them and idk. Whatever feels good. Love the vid btw
yea ur just as
I want to the same feeling when I used to play Goldeneye or Resident evil 4, super smooth aims. Ps4 controller has never been easy to aim with to me.
Sum that helped me is to remind myself to breath and focus on the players when about to beam and stay on target
This help me. Thanks earned a sub
Well we will elder Kai to unlock our potential like he did on gohan
I figured this out yesterday I use put my thumb directly in the middle then I just randomly overlapped my thumb got my aim back how to use to be😂
W
Bro tell me bout building that how do I improve my building on controller
I like to put my thumb either at the top of the stick or on the right side cuz I have the muscle memory to quickly move my thumb to the a (or x on ps) button and back to the stick
This is so true because I use kontrol freeks and you have to find what is comfortable for you.
The way I hold it is thumbs on thumbsticks and index on r2
BRO im not even joking looking back at this video i have improved so much for it my friends used to call me trash now i clip them 1v5 bc of my placment😊😊
W👏🏾👏🏾
My hands are growing bigger than all my controllers
what i do is kinda like a mixture between the first and third one you showed us, i kinda place the center of my thumb on the stick. i do this for both fingers, since it gives me a sense of control and helps me press down the sticks easier since i have them bound to some things (sorry for bad grammar)
I never new that your thumb was a controller setting
I even have one finger off my controller when I play sometimes doesn’t change the way I play tried claw it started hurting my finger so I went back to the basic way
But how do I hold it than
Thanks bro, my aim improved a lot
Nice good work keep going
thanks a lot bro
I don’t know what good for me, but I use the bottom edge because my fingers are not big and it gives me more control, flexibility, and overall comfort.
I use the over lap lol its so much easier to edit because of the extra control to be able to change camera direction fast and I also use this button to edit so it makes it much easier do this as well.
I can’t even aim anything on a controller
I got to used to playing on mouse and keyboard
Schools holding it back😂
👇
Like begging innit
so what grip is holding controller players back then im still waiting for that answer
Everybody who commented in this is probably a demon on controller
I just switched to L3
I would say edge is probably the best one even tho I play with my thumb overlapping the controller
I used to play with a normal grip but I recently switched to claw it was so easy to convert most likely claw was meant for me and my aim went 📈📈📈📈
Same
Thank you so much
I use all 3, depends on the situation, they all have their own perks
Tbh i just lack mechanics i only know 90s, rr, straight tunnel, high wall, full box from height, mongrall classic, double edit, tripple edit, quad edit, and side jump.
I just hold my controller 💀
How do you hold it everyone holds it differently
@@AssassinJayprly with his hands
@@tewkie7955 I asked how he holds it not what he holds it with
@@tewkie7955ur just so goofy
@@tewkie7955lmao
Gyro users: What is blawg yapping about
Thanks zaddy
Ayo 🤨
My thumb placement is in the middle it's comfortable and i edit fast so it works lol
What the best thumb placement??
I basically use the bend of my thumb t press a or x on Xbox/PlayStation and my thumb can stay on the right stick so I can crouch slide and/or jump without much thumb movement
That forth one
I play like the bottom left photo for the thumb sticks and top right for everything else
I’m have been almost to the point where I’m quitting video games all together because I see no improvement in my mechanics, aim, and building. I hope this helps me, much love❤
L just enjoy a game, people these days are weird bro...
It's cause most people on fortnite are using Cronus zens and strikepacks it's why Microsoft is banning them these people don't even need to try cause the device does it for them so nobody's gonna get good regardless unless the cheating goes down which statistics are insane with this game for cheating or using devices that aren't allowed
It is true because I couldn’t triple or double edit with my thumb overlapped on the joystick but when I moved it I could to them comfortably
what resolution are you using/used on this clip?
I just got a controller with paddles and that’s what helped me
I just use the circle part as my thumb placer
Thank you bro!, hello by Russian CZcams! ❤
Nice video
i did the way he said on my matt black series s nd its very helpfull
🙏🏾
So what's the setting? 😢
My thumb overlaps, plus I have paddles so I rarely ever touch X, Y, B, A (I play with Xbox controller obviously )
But you never said what is the best position like I wanted to know mainly because I noticed this while play last night that the war I had my thumb felt weird and uncomfortable and my hand got tired quickly.
If you hold your thumb stick like this, you’re kinda cooked but you could fix it
this is deep
I put my whole thumb across the stick so that it’s not the rounded part touching it it’s the actual finger part leading up to it that touches it 💀
I play kbm on pc with index and ring finger on right and left mouse button and my thumb on the left side button and pinky on right side
Is it normal that I use like almost the base of my thumb to move and the end to hit the other buttons?
I like to use what I use beachside if I get good at the game it wouldn’t really be fun for example bo2 was fun bc a lot of ppl were new and mw2 2022 we can’t have fun without dying in 2 seconds
I don't know why but when I did play Fortnite I could never play claw on the right side I always had to use the left side it was so much easier
Me casually doing triple edits on fortnite on controller
I perfected this part imo i play claw so my thumb is perfectly on my joystick
so iv been struggling in apex to be consistant with my aim and i just switch to holding the edge of the bottom is this a better grib or is there a better one
bro idk but i keep trying to put my whole thump in it when i play like 2x better when i have it on the edge
I tried this and more I am unreal
I hold my thumb stick on the edge so i can press the jump button without having to let go of the stick lmao
Same
just jump with right stick at that point
@@pr-cla7756 I play claw and I prefer to crouch with right stick
@@pr-cla7756 i dont play anymore so it doesnt matter
I play with normal grip but with 4 paddles
Wow 😮
So which thumb placement is the best one ?
it is all about your comfort
Anyone that feels comfortable to you bro
What do I do how do I find which is comfortable for me
@@Junaid1493idk I found my accuracy was bad when I clawed which made me aim w my tip of of my thumb compared to my non claw aim which my thumb covered the stick so I prefer non claw now n its alot more comfortable for me (Clawed for 6-7 yrs btw)
@@savibb9830 what edit button do I use
OMG BRO TYYYYYYYYYYY U HELPED ME SO MUCH UR THE BEST MANN BRO I MEAN THE BEST IM SO SORRY IM JS SO HAPPPYYYY TYYYY
Simple play however you want just be comfortable stop truing to be the best and just enjoy the game
For controller you covered 3 of 4 pictures that are in the vid from what I seem...whats the 4 position ?
What controller do u use
I perfectly center my thumbs on the sticks
My tpuch pad is my edit button
Yea it’s for sure not the console lag and it’s 125hz polling rate of the garbage Xbox controller. Once u feel 0 lag 240fps it’s hard to ever consider console or controller
I do the first one. With my enitire thumb overlapped.
Bro rlly said do u grip on the edge of the stick 💀💀
I do none. I have my whole thumb on the stick but it’s not overlapping
I put my finger fully one ima try the other two
I overlap my whole thumb but I play claw and it works for me
I thought he was trying to say that if your black your automatically bad 😂
If you hold your thumb stick like any of the ways he said your kinda cooked but you could fix it
He’s capping his ass off
I hold my finger over it and it just works well for me
Didn’t realize I play claw on pc
when i play claw on controller i build slower but my combat is very good compared to non claw how i always played my whole life i build quicker . And yeah i’m barely starting claw, i don’t know how to improve my building on claw
Here i got you g what you wann do is that cob in a mechanics or free build map and work on retakes and and high ground retakes ok
I just started playing claw and now i have 100 crown wins
how am i supposed to know whats for me?
So what is the best way to put ur thumb on the right joystick just barely or all the way on it
personal preference
How do I know that I have my true potential I mean how do I know which way to put my thumb like I also play claw and I’m a kid so that’s the only thing that I can tell you
Bro if I’m playing on my ps5 I’m like kinda good because I play claw and the ps5 controller is big but the ps4 controller is smaller which makes me play better at claw
I tried using claw and it made me look like a bot
All y’all need is kontrol freeks😮😮
Agreed
facts
I overlap and it messes up my edits all the time💀💀💀
I don’t have a right thumb 😂
