2015 Hyundai Sonata hood release broken. Hood won't open.

2015 Hyundai Sonata Limited hood release won't pop the hood. In this case the problem was under the hood. And you can't get the hood open. The release cable is in two parts that connect near the driver side headlight. The two cable parts had become disconnected. This might also work if your cable has stretched and become too slack to release the hood.

2017 Sante Fe Sport! Worked perfectly. I didn't need to take off the tire. After jacking up the vehicle, I had plenty clearance! Thank you! Saved me a ton of money!

Glad to hear it works with other Hyundai cars. Makes sense with an SUV that there could be enough clearance without removing the wheel.

Thank you, sir! After taking the wheel off, I was able to reach in and pull the wire. I have the 2018 Hybrid model. Mechanics were trying to charge me an arm and a leg for this. You're the man!
