  • This video is for informational purposes only. We self-fund our trips and the resorts do NOT know that we make videos about our experiences in order to give you an authentic and honest review. Our opinions are our own.
    In this video we are looking at the different suite options available at the Iberostar Grand Paraiso. We give you a good look at the different rooms, room locations, and how they compare in price so that if you decide to book your vacation at the Iberostar Grand Paraiso you will know which room category might fit what you are looking for.
    There are 310 rooms and suites and the difference between most (not all) of the suites lies in the views off of the balcony and the room location. The Iberostar website is really handy in showing room locations. If you input your dates and then look for the room location tab you can see where throughout the resort your room category is located.
    In our opinion:
    Penthouse is for those who want the best of the best and price is no object.
    The Ocean Front Butler Corner Suites cost less than the penthouse and are half the size but still give you butler services and excellent oceanfront views and locations.
    Panoramic Ocean Front Butler Suites are for those who want top floor in an ocean front building
    Oceanfront Butler suites are for those who want oceanfront location and views. Not on the top floor.
    Villas are for those who want space and privacy. They are in a secluded area of the resort and offer butler services as well as their own private pool and garden.
    Pool View Suites are for those who want peace and quiet. The balconies overlook the quiet pool area of the resort. No music or games happening outside your room.
    Upper Floor Garden View Suites are for those who was a step up from entry level and a top floor garden location.
    Garden View Suites are for those who want an entry level suite for a good price.
    Accessible Suites are located in the main building and are booked as an "accessible room". It is not one you call to request after the fact.
    The interiors of the Garden Views, Pool View, & Oceanfront Suites are all very very similar so you are really deciding on room location/view and your budget.
    The video tours were taken of our Oceanfront Suite on the second floor of the beachfront building and our Upper Garden View room on the top floor of the main building (looking out onto the garden and the spa pool).
    Some of the other room category images are courtesy of Iberostar.com because in order for the resort not to know that we are reviewing them we can't ask to tour the other rooms. 😜

    Great Job as usual. So we cant adjust the a/c in the room, it has to be done by maint folks ?

      @newtravelescapes  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Thanks! 😊 You can adjust it to a certain temp but if you want it lower than that (I usually do) just ask your concierge and they can do it from their computer easily.

    Thanks a lot Nancy for another nice video! What about beach towels? Where guests can get them? Another question are their any mosquitos?

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Good question! The pool concierge guys set up your chairs and give you towels. They are very helpful. Yep, there are mosquitoes but not nearly as bad as other resorts because the Grand is closer to the beach and less in the jungle areas. I didn't need bug spray at all during the day and only gave my legs a spritz at night if we were eating outside.

    Hi thanks for your reviews. I have one question, so I know you go to Cancun/ Riviera Maya often do you pay the Visitax before arriving or before you depart? Thanks

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  Před 8 měsíci +2

      We usually pay it just before we leave home because we don't bother with a data plan when we go to Mexico. I don't like using my cc on public wifi but, at the moment, it is fine to pay it before you depart Cancun. Make sure to use the Travelkore site and not a scam site.

    I am considering that resort but is worried about the rooms in building 72 - it is a major passageway so it has to be noisy no?

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  Před měsícem +2

      We stayed in building 73 and 71 and it was almost always quiet. I didn't find it to be loud anywhere the week we stayed but if you are worried, book something beachfront or request building 73 or 74.
      The indoor corridor is carpeted so cart noise would be minimal. A white noise machine or app is also nice to travel with.
      Hope that helps a bit 😊
