Very good info! Low pH makes chlorine much more active. Granular chlorine (usually cal hypo) raises chlorine without stabilizer levels which means it's 100% active. I dissolve it first in a 5 gallon bucket, 1 lb at a time, with a paint stirrer on a cordless drill.

What did you use to kill the green algea? Shocking it isnt doing it..

Are use granular chlorine to kill it! If you’re having issues with killing it, you need to raise the amount of shock. Also make sure that your pool is running around the clock and not shutting off.
