Not really though your argument is partially true the quality of sound depends on quite a few things,
1.The source of the audio
2.The recording mic
3. The audio output medium
So unless you have 50 cent earphones, you will be able to spot at least some difference between this phone and a cheap copy of it or some low-end.
Some tips to identify good sound quality-:
1. Try to listen and make out the depth of the sound
2. Try to increase the volume
3. Repeat
in my experience, I can make out sound differences on 20$ headphones easily.

Headphone jack is not necessary when Bluetooth headphones can last up to 18 hrs now for the slim wire ones. Now we just wait 2 years for the buds to get there from 8 hrs.

The only problem I have with the note 9 is that it has no wide angle camera.
So you must choose wisely between the note and the S10. Whether you want the pen, or you want a great camera and newer features .

Hi There In a few years, there might not be any head phone jacks anymore. The phone industry is going into a world with full bezel-less screens and no head phone jacks. I bet you will get wireless headphones/earbuds in the next 5 years.
I have wireless headphones and buds, and I still prefer using wired headphones a lot of the time. I do understand that the phone industry want to try new things and phaze out old tech. But I think a lot of customers would still like the headphone jack.

@Acesuprol 21 it depends one which ones we are compairing and what audio you are consuming, if you are using it for phone calls, gaming and listening to music, you'll barely notice quality loss, more so latency, the convenience of not having a wire is a huuuuugee compensation for the minuscule quality loss during ''basic audio consumption'', I cant imagine being in the gym, doing the dishes, doing laundry etc. with wired headphones again.

@@dumlair it comes with usb c headphones, you have to buy a usb c dongle to work with your headphones. Might as well buy note 9 or S10 to get headphone jack. Note 10 is skip for me.

It is such a great phone for gamers and non-gamers and offers far too much than Samsung is.
Good on anyone who gets this phone if it meets their needs but the Rog phone 2 will definitely be the better choice for most people who don’t want to compromise.
The only feasible competitor for the Rog Phone 2 is the Note 9 and even then, it blows past it.
None of this is my concern at all. Where is the nearest shop?

I don't even care for a headphone jack for years now. its 2019. wireless / Bluetooth is nice. But even the LG stylo phones have them.

The jack is sacrificed for battery and peripherals. Imagine an S10 but with a pen instead of jack.
Rumor said that the USB-C port can be used as both, charging and audio. I don't know but I do prefer one port for everything.
