I would be terrified if my child was on it. You ain’t her. That ain’t normal to be too calm if your child is on ride these types of rides. That’s just insane.
I was so scared to ride the Zipper. When I was in the 5th grade my friends pushed me up to ride it. And, Omg after my first ride, I have actually rode it a few more times. And the best part is when the cars reach the end tip to flip outwards it’s a slight little free fall like feeling that makes you laugh. Don’t be scared to try it. You got this!!!
If you don’t like the feeling of being inside a washing machine then I do not recommend it. The whole time I thought I was in a washing machine and I was about to die

It’s the wheels on the cable that drive the cages around the boom. It’s actually quite common in zippers, they gotta b replaced . The ride will not fall apart. As you can see they still could control the ride. To let them off. Actually a lot of zipper operators are more worried about it happening and it hitting someone on the ground. That’s what can make it dangerous. It wouldn’t kill someone but would hurt like a mf 🤣🤣

I do not get on rides that go up in the air and/or make my feet go over my head. I like to stay on terra firma. I do like to ride the Round-Up. The centrifugal force keeps you safely in one place plus you're strapped in.
You wouldn't say they overreacted if one of the carriages fell off. My uncle was watching a Ferris wheel and a girl and boy at the top were swinging the seat and it fell down and they were both killed instantly.
So from watching it and having knowledge of rides it looks like something popped off the gears in the back that move the ride Not a catastrophe just a minor issue. These things happen with big machines. Sometimes little pieces need fixing but not all of them are major malfunctions

I remember 1 year at the fair....The door popped open on one of the cars....Sending a young girl flying from the top as the car flipped over......She was killed instantly in front of a horrified crowd of onlookers waiting in line... It was the last time I ever thought about riding The Zipper
The units in bad condition are probably the ones that either don't get regular maintenance, or the parts are repaired utilizing in-house methods, or from obtaining cheap, third party, non-OEM components that will fail faster...
luckily nothing major popped out since it was just the wheel if I was on it and knew what popped out and what that ride would do if it popped out I would not be that scared because all that would happen is the ride stop
@@dawnreis7752 Lmao had a mishap with a zipper near me where the forgot to bolt on part of the metal ring on the ride and it fell off mid ride,, not serious went on it 30 minutes later after they fixed it.
Well... the zipper is a very fun but old ride, the company stoped selling parts for zippers. Now they are kinda a little rusty. But still a very fun ride
last time I was on the zipper it bruised my upper thighs and someone had scratched a kid's name and a date in the inner wall, claiming that was the one a kid fell out of. not a fun experience.
