Very sick and tiny kitten starts feeling better after rescue ♥️

- This little guy was rescued with seven other 6 or 7 week-old kittens when someone saw them in their yard. Mom is a feral cat who didn't get rescued at the same time but we are working on getting her and the other feral cats in the area TNR'd. (Trap Neuter Return) They are being fed by a local resident.
These 8 kittens were VERY sick with upper respiratory infections, pneumonia, really bad eye infections, and fungal skin infections (ringworm). We didn't know if they would make it. Little Wren here was the smallest of the group by far and was in the worst shape. When found he would only sit with his head held as high as he could like he was in a pool and trying to catch a breath. He wouldn't eat or drink and only wanted to concentrate on breathing. They saw a vet right away and got lots of medications. They got fluids daily and steam treatments to help with their breathing. One by one they started turning the corner and feeling better. This video was taken after ~5 days of antibiotics and the pneumonia had started to clear up.
Now (after 8 days on antibiotics) little Wren is breathing great, eating and drinking on his own, and his poor little eyes are starting to open up a little. I'll post an update video soon.

He needs to poop, that’s why his leg is up. They can’t do it on there own, they leave it to mom. Thank you for the share and rescue.

Awww-- What a sweet baby! If he's grooming that's a good sign, eating good. Bless his little heart, he's trying so hard. Respiratory infections are so hard to watch them go through. You're so sweet with him-- that's going to be the thing that gets him through this. Feeling loved makes them want to try.

How's he doing now?
He's doing great! Almost ready for a neuter appointment and then he will be up for adoption. I'll try to get another video of him before he's adopted. 🙂
What happpened to the other kitten?
The newborn went to another foster who bottle fed him until he was weaned. He is doing great and almost ready to be neutered and put up for adoption! 🙂
