This is why DMs have such a variety of expertise. Because of their pedantic players pulling them up on ship terminology, windmill engineering, apple orchard botany, horse biology, thermodynamics, etc etc etc!
Your intellect is still far above any DM or Player I've ever played with. I wish I could join in on this group, even if it was just for a day.

That is going to be a crazy meeting.
Plot twist: he was her drug dealer until she realized he was trying to kill her with garlic placebo.
And now hes a Cleric so it still holds up XD
After being deleted as Greg's wife in the revision patch release from earlier in the year. The devs are lazy, so they just reused her character with a few tweaks.. and meeting Greg triggers her to "remember" her old life. And thus begins her quest to overtake the gods of Azerim to ascend to kill the game devs in real life.. ala Tron.
I'm sure Rob and the crew must steal some ideas from the comments...

For being D&D novices I love that they dive in with story telling for NPCs and the way these women help drive the story to not just be.... like attack this, roll dmg. They really have embraced and are showing how a great DM can make what could be a boring by the numbers fight into such an interesting watch. Thank you and I hope there is an EPIC TALE for these characters to continue on for years like the EPIC NPC Campaign.
They definitely do try to think things through more than the guys who are usually attack now, think later lol

You should have all of the horses in this universe be slightly "wrong" --- like they eat chocolate and sit down to pee, idk. Little non-consequential details that every horse -person would know is just wrong 🤣

Always love how happy Rob is to let his players actually have fun with their actions and the like, one thing thats always put me off getting into D&D is the potential of getting stuck with an overly rules lawyer-esque DM or co-player, you can see that he 100% just wants them to have fun and enjoy it

I'm sure Rob would appreciate her expertise it was was right, though. It could be a bit pedant but still interesting.
Here she came with the preconception that Rob, as a "gamer", wouldn't know about real horses, and she mistook her expertise with modern horse riding with the kind of extensive research that D&D players have been doing for decades, because obviously the critique isn't new.
It's not about suspending disbelief in this case, it's about accepting that maybe your DM also has knowledge about that kind of things, even if it's a D&D player and a man.

I love how the girls aren't burdened by the knowledge of their skills yet. I mean to say that the boys 'mostly' know what to expect of their skills and spells and such and are much less likely to just make something up whereas the girls are still exploring and constantly trying to be creative about things like with the druids using the trees and the log - however unsuccessful that is. Even small things like Bubble's bottle having kinda been tipped over.
And it's wonderful that Rob just feeds into it with such enthusiasm.
Don't get me wrong. I love the boys' D&D campaign as well. They make me laugh every time. It's just nice to see the differences.

I remember she rode in, slid off her horse, and gave her line all in one shot, and I was like wait wait wait. Went back like three times to make sure that I wasn't missing a very well edited cut.
That? Was impressive AF.
As a horse girl she should also know that if you pull back on the reins and use your legs to go forward the horse will likely rear. Rearing is also more likely on war horses as well. (Horse girl plus history nerd)

The cutaway scenes with the characters are the best part of each episode. Horatio with the country accent is epic.
I love how they are having as much fun with the NPCs as with their own characters. It's got me invested in random things like a log being thrown.
Hey Rob, Constitution saves for concentration checks make sense when you see constitution as your ability to deal with pain. You can be very wise or intelligent but its going to be very hard to concentrate if you're in pain because somebody just shot an arrow in you. Higer constitution would make it a lot easier to brush that off and keep concentrating on what you're doing.

When the DM says the horse rears up, the horse rears up. Do not argue with "God" for you are squishy and easily thumped.
I think it can be ok for players to suggest changes like that. But if you do it because you think you have expertise, you need to respect the DM, because maybe they have more specialized expertise on the topic. Maybe they just did it that way without thinking about it and they'll value your input, but here, in my opinion, it was more a case of Britt not realizing that maybe Rob is the kind of DM to have investigated horse riding and read countless threads on the topic by D&D players even more passionate about the topic.
Now let's say some player with expertise on boats tell Rob that they'd want to make a specific kind of knot that would let them control the sails more easily, I'm sure Rob can accept it even if he didn't envision it like that. "can I do this thing that we can do in the real world?". When the horse does something like rearing up, maybe the right reaction would have been "wow that's an impressive horse, that's not what most horses would do".

Loving the new players they're much easier to follow, seeing as they don't try to TALK OVER each other, great dm'ing really rob. Let them try and fail it's how you learn love the double log technique!
They should have each group member record the "Beeep" sounds and use them instead of the generic ones. So some dialogs will sound like angry R2D2s with a cute accent ;)
