When Ed and Justin’s “I Don’t Care” song came out, we happened to be driving past a yak farm. My son turned to me and said, “Did they just say when I’m with my BABY YAK??” It REALLY sounded that way. We had to listen to it again to check but now that really is all we can hear; A person who is dependent upon their yak support animal to go anywhere like parties. What if Billie Eilish sang “I Don’t Care”??? With the added darkness of a person too scared and anxious to go anywhere without their support animal... even if their sport animal is an imaginary yak?? @@Deathmufin I can only say you do not understand how music works if your argument is that without changing the lyrics, a song doesn't change mood... words said normally change when you add a vocal inflection into sarcasm, it's the same for notes, speed and atmosphere in songwriting. lyrics are interpreted differently according the backing track that accompanies it. and to rest the case, a song is more than just the lyrics, so yes sad songs and happy songs can be reversed even without touching the lyrics.
