    A huge thanks to Magestic Records for providing the music. Please go by and check these guys out they are doing some amazing things.
    "This video is for educational and entertainment purposes only. All guns displayed off the range are safety checked and only displayed pointing in safe directions. All footage at the range is private range and the gun is handled by a Range Officer certified by the National Range Officer Institute. This video is not promoting or attempting to sell guns. Sale of guns is heavily regulated and I am not associated with any federally licensed firearms dealer. The actions of all firearms displayed are unmodified and presented as commonly available from original equipment manufacturers. This video is not instructional on building or modifying firearms. Nothing has been done to increase the rate of fire or lethality of the firearms displayed nor would I advocate making such modification as it presents a huge liability and potential risk of harm or death."

    Ended up getting a wilderness HMR in .308. Really couldn't decide on caliber, but it was primarily going to be used for whitetail hunting and target shooting 500yds and closer. Didn't really see to much advantage in a more expensive precision cartridge if I'm not gonna be reaching out very far the majority of the time.

  • @ruthlessone3k
    @ruthlessone3k Před 2 lety +6

    I'll vouch for this. I have the 300 PRC HMR in the standard color and have taken clays at 700yards, easily hit a 10" square plate at 1000 yards, and an 18" round plate at 1 mile was incredibly easy. It's an incredible rifle for the price, that makes it incredibly easy to shoot at ELR ranges. I just wish it was more of a diy barrel swap scenario. 300 PRC isn't known for a long barrel life.

    Great video ! After much research i will now get one in .308 as i plan on shooting out to 600 yards max around where we live.My dream has come true ! To have a all around rifle this accurate ,repeatable and well made makes the Bergara B-14 HMR a best buy you are wanting a rifle that can have multiple roles this is it .308 is easier to get around i live . Range is limited here in the bayou state and the shooting range here is 600 yards and in the woods here most shots are no more than 100 to 200 yards max. The extra weight isn't a problem for me as i'll be at the range with it more than hunting. You have helped me make up my mind. The gun store were i live has a few in stock and they look and feel awesome. The Bergara B-14 HMR is my next rile for sure !

I did add the TT4 muzzle break to mine and it slowed the recoil down a lot.. I will be getting a 2nd Bergara chambered in 300 PRC now that I watched this video. Great job on all the information you gave in the video..

    Couldn't agree more! Got one for my son and myself this fall, both in 300 WM. They really like Berger 180 grain Elite Hunters over 67.0 grains of H4350 seated at 0.100" off the lands at just a little over 2,900 fps. These HMRs will put these loads round after round through the same hole at 100 yards. Shoots jagged clover leaves at 200 yards and groups under an inch at 300... we'll leg them out a bit longer next summer and I'm sure the results will be just as impressive.

    • @LoveEncoded8
      @LoveEncoded8 Před rokem

      Shooting precision is like riding a bike for those with the natural gift. Ive seen guys who have never shot a certain gun and never shoot nail targets with extreme precision. Secondly barrel life depends greatly on heat and pressure of the cartridge and speaking of heat if one of these old guns is only ever shot a few rounds at a time the heat/pressure wont stress fracture the surface finish of the barrel and will extend the life. A 300 win mag could very possibly reach 2k+ and the shooter behind it shooting 20 shots a year could keep remarkably sharp. My nephew at 10 yrs old could pick off a rabbit at 200 yds no problem. He just had the gift. Idk why some people lack the gift of being humble though. Cheers all. Oh and yes a 300 win mag with the same projectile and velocity CAN match a 300 prc or probably most 30 cals in its class if the barrel quality is on par. And i have a 1947 stevens 30-30 that performs like new. And i bet an old marine vet could pick it up after yrs without shooting and slam soda cans at 100 open sight.

    I went out and bought one of these after viewing this and it is a GREAT rifle. I am very happy with it. Now I need to find ammo for it that won't require me to get a second mortgage on my house. Would you please break down exactly the parts that were needed to mount that Atlas on there? I have a Harris on mine and would love to switch it out for the Atlas. Thank you for a great video.

    Great review and production as always! With Remington going under I wonder if Begara is going to fill the market space left by the Remington rifles falling out of favor? Is that Begara a Remington 700 form factor action by chance?

      It is a Rem 700 foot print if that's what you mean. They are great rifles. Thanks for watching!

    I bought my Bergara HMR Pro in 300 PRC Christmas of 2020, before Christmas of 2021. I shot it to 1 mile hitting the target on the 2nd shot & numerous subsequent shots, including the MOA target. I used a Swampfox Warhawk scope which rivals my Nightforce ATACR & US Optics scopes and costs less than 1/4 of the price. So yep, an average guy can do a mile these days with a rig that costs about $1500. You will need a ballistics app on your phone unless you're really good with math ( I used a Kestrel Applied Ballistics).

    Another huge plus to Bergara, their rebarreling service is famously fast and pretty well priced, I think around 300-400 usd

      Nothing complicated about it. You have this much $$$$ best rifle you can afford. Slap any glass on it until you can bump up in glass. Just get the Bergara. No worries
