Yes, some ink will transfer, if you rub it on paper. Just tested! Not a problem though, since they're still more durable, secure, long lasting, innovative and even better for our environment! These bills also look amazing! 🙂

David Dawson - Here in Australia, our new range of notes are very similar and also made of plastic ( technically, Polymer) and do obviously have a plastic feel, and yes, are also somewhat harder to count. However, they last much longer, are much less prone to tearing, and with all the security features, virtually impossible to counterfeit! Interesting fun fact, the original plastic(polymer) note technology was developed here in Australia by the Reserve Bank of Australia and is licensed to many countries around the world that use the technology in their banknotes.

Canada, Australia and New Zealand's bank notes are all very similar. Australia created the polymer bank notes and began to use them in the 1980s.
