- Alberta’s government has declared the official start of wildfire season ten days early, and the Minister of Forestry and Parks is requesting additional funding in Budget 2024 for additional fire crews.
How about arresting arsonists?
Do you think they’re letting them go? If they can identify them they are arrested. The vast majority of the time though forest fires are not arson, they may be inadvertently started by humans, that is not arson though. 60% of forest fires have natural causes, mostly lightning. How many arsons will RCMP catch this year?
Last year according to the Albertan government, most fires were caused by humans. Hopefully humans smarten up with our approaching dry summer.
Stop deflecting the facts. Most fires ARE started by humans, but they’ve never last this long, and they didn’t start this early, and they were never this intense, and they never lasted well into the Fall.
@@62Cristoforo We had the most dry winter in Alberta in like 15 years. Of course fires will start early. And there will be a lot of them this year. And if humans smarten up maybe we reduce that number. What is difficult to understand here?

@@chrisministerofsmartarsery3322 needs to be said for the weak minded who hear “human caused” and thinks that confirms their beliefs these fires are orchestrated to further some “climate agenda” (they aren’t)

Forest fires happen every single year yes, just not this early. The conclusion you should jump to is NOT that they are being intentionally started by the way. The conclusion is climate change

We won’t be able to ‘air condition’ our way out of this calamity.
It will only get worse, until we’re all cooked. I feel sorry for anyone with grandchildren.
