- I'm back, and I've got some new gear up my sleeve this week! My friends at Both Lighting sent me the RF4 Mark II Uplights, and I'm stoked to show off these bad boys.
What's the difference between the RF4 and the RF4 Mark II? Long story short, the RF4 had some complications that needed to be fixed, so they did just that and came out with an upgraded version. Stick around as I walk through the upgrades and the set-up process.

Do you think you're losing out on much choosing the Ir4’s over the S4’s?
Haven't looked back once, and the signal is better to my soundswitch. I have no idea how since they are much smaller.
Great to hear man! Thanks for the reply. Definitely going to grab some- just deciding on the soft or hard case- leaning towards the soft one think to keep size and weight down. The in built charging strip looks handy though.

Don't know about that. I would contact Both directly. They would know.
Joe do you think these are powerful enough to be used as uplights without pairing them with the bigger ones? I am thinking of making the switch because these would just be easier to haul around. I use an suv so size is always something I take into consideration.
Oh for sure, unless the ceiling is 100' or something.
I’m bummed. I just bought 24 of these back in November and would have waited for these if I would have known they were coming out.
At least they all work together. I didn't know these were coming until Rick sent them to me.
Joe, so you know if you add the “candle light” colour combo will they save them to use with the remote ?

Not sure about that one. I think it just holds it until you change to another color. Not sure you can add to the remote.
Hey Joe, what values are you using for the candle light with just RGB. Using RGBWA tends to give a little more warmth.

Great video Joe!! I just got the Rockville RF4 and trying to see if I should send them back to get these instead 😅😂
Any idea what the range is like for these on master slave mode? I’m worried that if I’m only using master slave with the master next to me and I’m in a wedding ballroom type space, that the signal won’t be strong enough to reach all the slave lights. Any insight you can provide from what you’ve seen so far if you’ve tested them in master slave yet?? Thanks man!!!

I didn't make them, I just use them. With Both and a few other companies, I'm an affiliate. I review stuff, and if I like it, I say so. Some of them send me a few bucks per sale. If it's garbage, I usually just don't make the video.

Hello Joe nice vide which wireless DMX transmitters do you use? Donner or Chauvet. Will these work with Chauvet?
I use Donner. Not sure about Chauvet ones.
Hey Joe, do you know if these Both lights work with the Ape Labs Maxi 6-unit charging case?
Highly doubtful
The big issue i saw with the OG version was the sound mode couldn't be activated across all of them when you updated the master. Has that been fixed? Can you bring one S4 as master and set that into Sound Mode and then slave all these RF4s?

Yes you can bring an IR4 in as the master. Set the slave RF4's to red wifi mode.
Can they be slaved to the other Both Up Lights? S4 or S6's

I have a problem with my rf4s. Cant seem to connect with my donner transmitter
Not sure about that one. The only thing to make sure is they are all on the same color.
@@DJJoeBunn Its working now. Just realized that you have to set the Donner transmitter on the red channel and the RF4's on the cyan/light blue channel for it to connect
