Thanks for watching! And yeah it doesn't change a whole lot, but there's a few systems that have a couple different genres under them, so it could go either way. Just trying to make it easy for people to pay attention to what they're interested in.
I think I prefer them grouped by system instead of theme, but it's not a big deal!
Yeah, so far a few comments are leaning back to the older way. I just want to make sure people can easily pay attention to what tthey want updates on.
The way I used to do it was the big ones (Pathfinder, PF2e, 5e), their derivatives (A5E, etc), followed by transitionary-OSR (DCCRPG, shadowdark, etc), then OSR, then OSR-Like, Other established fantasy sytems, new fantasy systems, Grimdark systems like Warhammer, then horror systems starting with Call of Cthulhu, World/Chronicles of Darkness etc, then other systems, sci fi systems starting with things ilke traveller, Star Trek etc, then things like shadowrun, cyberpunk, and then miscellaneous other 'modernish' systems and superhero style stuff.
Lately though, there's been a bunch of branch systems that are starting to gain traction and be used for different genres, like Essence20, or more 5e derivative systems that are used for modern or sci fi settings, OSR systems for things other than classic fantasy, etc. Which honestly I think is great for the industry, but then when organizing them I feel like i'm jumping all over the board in terms of genre, though at least the system was more of a gradiant.
The part of me that likes seeing things nice and categorized and organized is gonna have conniptions either way hah.
