I think Michael Finney is among the very best comic magicians you will ever see. He's quick, sharp, and very funny in front of any type of audience. He's genuinely nice off-stage. I'm surprised he's not more of a household name, frankly.
That is quality comedy magic done well. That's a professional in action, in real time, under fire, doing something he's done hundreds of time but still making it look fresh and new. *Notice how he treats his helper with considerable respect.
I've worked with Michael Finney on various occasions over the last 7 years. The confetti was not supposed to fall like that. That happened by accident. Of course, he handled it very well I would say. He's among the very best at what he does, and is really a decent fellow.
Guys like this (there aren't many) are the reason people give magic a second chance. Then of course, some one comes along with minimal technique and puts it back out on the "street" level. Thanks Michael! You remind me of how much fun magic can be!
"Why don't we continue on with this carnival-like atmosphere" LOL. I actually do a version of that card to forehead it always gets a laugh. I'm still working about the thing where you hold the card at an angle so they can't see it on my forehead. Was that confetti supposed to fall?

Michael Finney is great - I saw him do this very trick Playhouse theatre at the Bristol day of magic in May 06 in England!
