I am up to 3:30 breath holds in a pool, but once I get into the current and real location I struggle to get more than 1:15. Watching you pull a minute thirty into caves blows my mind.
Yea I grew up diving in florida springs so the Caves don't freak me out a ton. Just gotta stay calm

Have to retype my comment, lost it. I was hooked on the first little dip under water. Beautiful clarity and colors. Those schools of small fish, especially the blue ones were stunning. Good work on the fish plus knife recovery. A very enjoyable video with clarity, colors and spearing, and always your excellent commentary. That's a good group of friends on this trip, with Vctoria as the rose among the thorns. Great to see young women diving and spearing with enthusiasm.
My best boating buddy is 100% happy on the water, skimming along on her BUP effortlessly, paddling it with a kayak paddle, sitting on a 5" semi firm foam block she got with the board. I think I mentioned that to you Jack. Height of the block allows her to have her knees bent up which is easier on the back. I need to rig up a back rest for her that can lay flat as needed.
I don't go out boating or fishing without a back rest. In my wooden dory, I put plastic, padded swivel seats on the thwarts(wooden seats going from side to side). Sacraligious move I realize but very comoftable and can be removed quickly, and I'm more practical than perfectionist!!
I havn't been swimming or boating yet but very soon.

Before you dove into the cave and ran into the tiger grouper there was a nassau at the top of the reef there to the right
I usually don't target Nassau, I gave him a pass 😉

its really hard to do good buddy diving in the gulf around tampa because almost always you cant see the bottom so you dont know really whats going on down there.
Thats very true. U can always dive using floatlines and when u hear someone shoot dive down the direction of the float line. Just an option. Diving murk is always risky regardless
