You can put up the hood vertically that is easier for working on the motor push the clips and button on each side on the hinges and push hood back

Most likely, I am just happy I made it a reliable ride for someone else, keeping the car on the streets for a little bit longer.

@@ImChrisDeDecker Watching you from the other side of the ocean Europe i really appreciated you just because doing that, some other people just buy old cars, wash it detail inside-out and sold it quick if it "runs" to grab a quick buck so, the fact that you went to extra mile spending precious time detecting and fixing all problems on it shows your commitment to identify and fix issue, you are passionate or at least try to be professional and that is the hard part to find these days, that most of today mechanics from dealers lacks.. So, God bless you ! may you do well and keep growing stronger because we need more people like you man !..

Liqui Moly Diesel Purge makes wonders. I use 2 bottles of it every 20k KM. I record the engine sound before and after and huge difference every time. Also the performance on low revs improves a ton.

Using copper anti-seize make the rubbers to swoll up, better use brake grease. And i Would recommend to plug the egr, and clean out the intake and boostpipe, and drive it kinda hard. Because the car have been sitting for a Long time probably

Great video, had a w201 2.3 and had the same issue, fan clutch went out and caused a blown head gasket. They run 80-100 usually and it’s normal but if it reaches near 120 then it’s definitely a problem, you can do a few modifications so that it will always cool better and stay around 80, bypass the clutch fan to where it turns on everytime the car is running and get a thermostat that will open up faster

When I am watching your video, it remind my Camry sxv20. Currently on maintenance. I bought my Camry last month, she is driven over 360000km, still beautiful car and clean. But I know many things to be fixed. Currently I am fixing her almost all, except Engine, Transmission, power steering and radiator. But , she deserve it.

The reason the leather is in such good condition is because it's not actual leather, but rather MBtex. It's a type of vinyl developed by Mercedes and extremely resistant to wear. Very popular in German W124 Taxis.

The wheels are NOT bare aluminum! They are painted in a specific silver paint that is used for wheels by most brands. You can get a can of it from Wurth "Silver Wheel Paint". And the reason for the "brake dust" gathering around the center cap, is because its NOT actually brake dust at all! Its actually wheel bearing grease leaking out from the wheel bearing. Which happens to be right behind the center cap.

The white smoke could have just been the fluids that were poured into the cylinder burning off

I think so, but the white smoke has been persistent from the beginning. I think, perhaps, the injectors should be clean.

600psi is waay to much. I bet the new engine compression is around 450psi max. You have put too much oil in the cylinder, and the fluid is not compressible, falsifying the reading

Huh. You didn't double your "profit" - you doubled your overall money.
And since you bought it for $1800, bought parts and supplies, and sold it for $3000, you didn't even double it.
And "debris" is pronounced with a silent "s" as it is a french word.

Hello there, first of all thanks for the tip using Acetone and transmission oil 🛢. This week a did a compression test. The best cylinder 22 bar, and the worst 14 bar 😮.
Ad the moment a can't do a second compression test. Injectors are out for a rebuild.
1 thing a noticed, cilinder 1 (the lowest in compression)
I poured a lot of fluid in. And after al long time of pouring fluid in. It looks like cylinder 1 is holding longer fluid they from the beginning. There is maybe hope for mij om617 turbo
