Trains at Milton Keynes Central | 04/01/17

A cold January afternoon at Milton Keynes Central Station. MKC is always a good place to do some filming on the WCML, plenty of Freight around and a good mixture of stopping and non-stop Virgin services. There were a few issues this day with a track circuit failure just South of the station on the Up Fast line. Meaning that all London bound non-stop services were rerouted onto the Up Slow line in an attempt at minimising delays in the affected area on the up fast. However all stopping London bound services were kept on the Up Fast line (Platform 4) because stopping at a red signal will have minimal effect on these services anyway. So you'd got Pendolino's coming and going in all directions basically. Platform 6, 4 & 1. A few nice surprises thrown into the mix as well, the NMT HST seen crawling along the Up Fast line just about to enter the problematic area and a pair of new Great Western class 387's. Which are doing 110mph test runs up & down the WCML between Wembley & Crewe. However their progress was hampered by the track circuit failure on the Up Fast.

AND Surprise surprise not a Southern 377 in sight! Almost forgot what they look like in Milton Keynes now... Quite ridiculous.
