Just to keep you guys updated, I'm in the last three weeks of my semester. It's getting pretty tough. I was gonna make this video way earlier, but just didn't have the time. I'm gonna make some monster hunter videos in-between until I finish Elden Ring. After all that, I'll try to make videos on different games, and of course Sunbreak when it releases. I don’t care how annoying I found Godrick, the sheer power as he yells “Bear witness” is outstanding enough, and all I remember from him as a character
Godrick is a really awesome boss, and a look into his lore really highlights the sheer burden of his powerlessness compared to other demigods. This guy literally fled the capitol when the Shattering happened so he wouldn't get caught in the crossfire, got easily smacked by Malenia, (which is unsurprising, but-) and reacted by grafting people to himself for a fast-lane to strength, and after all that, he still wasn't strong enough to beat a measly fresh-risen Tarnished.
The " I command thee, Kneel" is iconic for me as well
All his ancestors watch him get clapped by a freshly risen tarnished that woke up from his nap 20 minutes ago.

The dual greatswords really saved you against those banished knights. I used a rapier and I can tell you, not being able to stagger those guys makes them 90% harder
i was stuck on the one at 3:15 for like and hour, i mustve died to hime like 15 20 times.
Hell they also have one of the strongest Armor Sets if you are able to get them to drop every piece of it.

Not to mention the game makes you fight them in really small rooms at times so you just can't see a thing 😐 The whole room becomes a mess of limbs and hitboxes
@@maxangel7292 and the way it is constantly wringing and not fitting in the camera view makes you just guess if it is the correct move or just another variation.
@@slipper1889 Get real close to its left side (your right) and stay beneath its arm dodge the first stamp and start wailing on it. When it does the grab attack, roll into it when it is at the peak of its jump roll twice if you are not comfortable with the timing. and then run to the same position to avoid the breath attack and wail on it. roll twice for the tail sweep and pray to god when it does the aoe because the hitbox is an enigma. The head slaps are easy to dodge if you notice the wind ups roll to the right for both of them and they wont touch you. When it does the over head head slam it normally follows up with the head sweep so don't wail on it until you have dodged both. In general you want to be right on top of it for most of the fight because its attacks are far reaching.

Stormveil was the first true dark souls experience in elden ring. Really nicely created area with interlocking paths and loot-filled nooks and crannies. It really is one of the locations in elden ring.

I didn’t know he had a second phase until the second time I fought him as I staggered him when he tried to cut his arm off and just skipped second phase.

i am 350 hours in, level 231 and i only just reached the final 3 bosses, and i had to stop playing for the night before engaging.
yeah, i've been really slow, and im a bit overleveled but i got basically every item in the game now, except for quest related ones i have locked myself out of.
could i have been faster? certainly, but i wanted to gather everything before completing the game, thus it has been a long journey.
I am having a similar journey as you are, I am just traveling all throughout the map and just searching for every little thing.
The funny thing about the huge map is that no matter how thoroughly you searched an entire continent of the map, you always manage to stumble upon a Cave, Tomb, enemy, NPC, or secret that you didn’t see when you first traversed one of those continents.
The game’s world is massive and very fun to explore.
The good side of all the exploration is the great stuff you find along the way, and becoming more powerful and over leveled as well.
If it makes you feel any better, I was level 138 when I fought Margit for the first time. Admittedly, I only picked up one more level before I downed Godrick.

Combat tips for Godrick: on the charge attack where he drags the axe, roll under his left arms. When he smashes the ground to bits, a jump or well timed roll let’s you stay close by to take advantage of the slow recovery.

Gatekeeper Gostoc (the guy who tells you not to go through the main gate) is such a Troll of a character. "Oh so he was right about the main gate, guess I can trust him... right?? Right???"
For those who don't know, he steals runes from you each time you die in Stormveil Castle. So if you die with like 2000 runes, you'll only get like 1900 or 1800 when you retrieve them

I too steamrolled my way through this game with dual greatswords. Eventually got my hands on a certain someone's fancy greatswords and never looked back.
