Emma... I don't even know where to begin. I have a disorder called trichotillomania, which is a compulsive hair pulling disorder. I developed it as a response to trauma and it is super frustrating and hard to live with. I have lots of visible bald patches so going to a hair salon (or spa!) is a very stressful even for me. I have had to learn to cut my own hair because I had so many bad experiences. This video was extra special, because I got to feel pampered without all the rude questions and the compliments in the video are compliments I never get. The intro is so comforting and kind (the whole video is but especially the intro). I know I will return to this video many times when I start to feel upset about my hair, when I'm having a rough day, or feel ugly. Thank you for all that you do. Sending you lots of love and light

Sarah Smith I’m also a trichstr (thankful that it has improved quite a bit with age, I used to have huge bald spots on my head and my stepdad made fun of me for it).
PTSD now presents itself in different ways for me and I wouldn’t wish these feelings on my least favourite person.

That's too funny. I love the hair washing videos because its always my favorite part of getting my hair done. The sounds and everything make you feel like you're really there. Sometimes I take my ponytail out for extra effect. Lol
I know that this is not a replacement for real therapy, but ASMR does help me relax in times of stress. These past 6 weeks have been difficult and in conjunction with real therapy I feel more at peace.

Hair brushing is my favorite too! Ever since I’ve started embracing my natural wavy/curly hair though, I no longer brush it. I just comb it when it’s wet. So these vids are the closest I get! 😂😂

The washing part is sooo calming! This might be a weird comparison but it reminds me of those videos that are like womb sounds, which are supposed to relax you by reminding you of what it was like to be in the womb. So I guess what I’m saying is it’s like... an inherently relaxing and kind of familiar sound?

Honestly, I do need a haircut, it keeps getting in my face and wraps around my neck when I'm trying to sleep, which doesn't feel to comfortable, lol. I wish there was a way I could get to NY. Thank you for this relaxing video. I am 62 years old and was just diagnosed with AFIB. Luckily, I have had only a few episodes, but my first landed me in the ER. I do all the right things to stay healthy. I tried meditation -- but my busy mind just couldn't be patient enough. Your videos are my meditation. Honestly, there are times when I KNOW your videos keep the AFIB at bay. BTW, there was a recent article on the AARP website about anxiety and older people. It identified ASMR as a way to calm anxiety. Even my little dog and my husband watch with me now.

Of all the hair cutting videos I've listened to this will always be my favorite. No one else's sounds as great as this one.
This video Is perfect. So many tingles. Probably one of my favorites to help me drift off. The hair cutting in particular is one of the best sessions. Most videos usually circle around the sounds of the scissors sounds instead of it actually cutting. I love the crunch of scissors cutting hair. Any time I visit a hair salon, I always fall asleep during the wash and cutting. Thank you Emma! Always a delight!

This is hands down one of the best ASMR's I've ever experienced. I felt it. It felt like Emma was taking care of me. Brushing my hair, washing it. The tingles 🥰. I only wish it was longer. The future needs an ASMR spa forreal.
