    Chris woke up from the dead at the last minute and when it matters most. Froome made history. Stage 19 would go down in history. Haters will hate, that is life. Go Chris 👍

  • @DragonBallEpic
    @DragonBallEpic Před 6 lety +74

    Tom Dumoulin, a Lion King.
    Never gave up, he pulled of four attacks in the finale, even if he was clearly running out of energies.
    Froome won this Giro, but Dumoulin is set to be a bright Star in the coming years.
    BUT he needs a proper Team, he's almost always alone in the climbs. Dumoulin to Astana or Sky?

    • @pieterslootweg6428

      Sam Oomen is almost always in the last group

    • @BB-se9bl
      @BB-se9bl Před 6 lety +13

      Has he really been alone that much? Oomen was incredible. 9th place in the GC, 22 years old.

    • @DragonBallEpic
      @DragonBallEpic Před 6 lety +1

      Yeah, but look at Team Sky. On the Colle delle Finestre there were like 4-5 of them doing the push.
      Even Astana looked solid, doing much work for Lopez.
      In Sunweb, there's only Oomen, and he's not been always there.

    • @BB-se9bl
      @BB-se9bl Před 6 lety +2

      True, Sky is insane. Astana is also very strong, with Bilbao (although he had a bit of a free role, great Giro for him btw), Sanchez etc.

      What research? After stage 18 (Vuelta 2017) Froome was caught with 2000 nanogram salbutamol in his urine, which was way above the 1000 nanogram boundary. I don't understand why people keep defending him: doping and lies destroy this beautiful sport.

    Great ride by Froome, but he is the one top tier world rider in the Giro this year, so in form he should have won it.
    Ultimately though this will probably have been for nothing as it’s likely to be stripped from him when his case eventually gets settled.

      I race at an amateur level. I haven't won any notable awards, but, you know what? I enjoy competing with other guys (and sometimes ladies, and some of them beat me) and we have a great camaraderie too. Isn't that a significant part of what sport's about? Yes, I believe in it as much as any other sport. No, I don't think it's perfect, but on the evidence I've seen and heard, thus far I do believe Froome. He is as far removed from Armstrong in what he says and in his body language as he possibly could be. But, if someone is prejudiced, nothing will convince them.

    Congrats. So undeserved. He was so bad and he still wins the giro with one break away. It's impressive, but I think he is gonna lose the vuelta and the giro, because of his positive dopingtest because rules are rules. If he does not get punished, it would be very unfair. It is kinda weird that he got to ride this giro anyway because he is under investigation. If he gets punished he drove this giro for nothing.

    • @TankDaBest
      @TankDaBest Před 6 lety +3

      Not true, totally different. Contador was a doping offence. Clenbuterol is totally banned. Froome has be found 'positive' (for the amount of an accepted substance) by what is now being acknowledged in medical circles as a highly unreliable test. Massively, massively different.

    • @4200Felix
      @4200Felix Před 6 lety

      Clenbuterol is only partially banned, the ban is lifted in countries where Clenbuterol is used in agriculture. For example when the swimming WC was in Mexico, basically everyone tested positive for for it.
