Hey Kris, you've made my day - Again! Another lovely Takanaka reaction, I'm so glad you like him, he is a legend in Japan but almost unknown in the West. He began recording in the 1970s with a group called "Fried Egg"!? and later moved on to be lead guitarist with The Sadistic Mika Band who were moderately successful before turning solo in 1976.I was working for BBC Radio at that time and was given his 1977 LP "Takanaka" (his 2nd) in the hope that I would play it on one of my shows (I did and I still have it!).Unfortunately, it remains his only album released outside of Japan although, thankfully, there are literally hundreds of his performances available on CZcams. He is often called "The Japanese Carlos Santana" (whom I also love) and much of his work is in the "Latin Groove". He's still performing and recording and I'm going to compile a list of his finest work available on YT, if not for reaction then for Your personal Listening Pleasure.
