FOR THE #6 TIP: If you break the chests they will usually drop Junk because it has higher drop chance. BUT, If you get Junkan, which is a Junk pet, rare, and can only be obtained from broken chests, the more trash you have, the stronger it will become. After like 6 junks (I don't remember the amount but you can visit the wiki of Dungeon), Junkan will be more stronger than the most of the pets in the game. Also edit: I just realised, this is a small and new channel but the quality is sooo good great work I'm sure you will get more views soon.
Ah yes, I forgot about Ser Junkan! I've been playing EtG quite a lot for footage lately and I haven't got him in any of my runs, at all. Look this will sound really, REALLY weird, but i realized you can get junkan *even if you open chests* , i think its really REALLY rare to get a chest doing this, and for some reason, i got it, btw i got it in a golden chest
Another good junk tip is having atleast 1 key increases your chances of getting junk significantly. This is useful for getting Junkan faster but also on the robot as he has a hidden stat that grants +5% damage per piece of junk. Alternatively if you want to break a chest for heart pieces, shields, ect. then you should try to do it when you have no keys in your inventory
Absolutely! Actually, you don't have to quickly grab it. Once the shopkeeper hides for good, you can go grab the 9999 coin items at your leisure. I just rushed because back then, I didn't know better, lol.
Great video! Fun fact: Slime from blobs that spawn in the fireplace room can also be used to put the fire out. All you have to do is bait the slime over to the fireplace.

Same here! I found out by complete accident. It also doesn't help that the Resourceful Rat doesn't take those away, like with items, weapons or ammo packs. Took me and RivalPhoenix, the person I feature in the second 10 TIPS video, a while to realize you could do such thing, lol.
Also, don’t pick up keys before you go to the shop, if you do, there is a chance the shop keeper won’t have a key to purchase. If you have have blanks left over after your boss fights, go back to the chest rooms and use your blanks, there is a chance you’ll open a room with extra stuff. If the chest rooms aren’t connected to a secret room, try using a blank in the main shop or the area where the bullet elevator takes you to the next level after the boss battle for that level.

Tip 1: Use pilot. All other characters are nothing compared to the all powerful and all gambling pilot. Extra active item? He got you. Extra ammo in guns? He got you. Cheaper shop discounts? He got you. Open chests without keys? He… sometimes got you. Useless starter? He always got you.
If I also may add a few extra tips: 1) don’t waste keys on brown chests. At the very least, you can get some junk out of one of them, which is useful for obtaining and upgrading ser junkan , a very useful companion 2) conserve ammo for your explosives, heavy hitters, and homing weapons for bosses. 3) GET CASEY. Seriously, Casey, the baseball bay, damn near carried the entirety of one of my runs. The hit dmg and knock back alone is insane AND it reflects almost every projectile in the game. Hope this helps!
I dare to sat I thought of those at some point, then I realized that: 1- Sometimes, brown chests give you cool items, such as Lichy Trigger Finger and an extra pickable item, although I agree they're not the one color chest I immediately open once I see them. 2- I actually hadn't though of that. I believe it mostly depends on luck and the player's play-style. 3- Except that it is so hard to be good with it, lol. I can't deny Casey is a ridiculously strong weapon that can get even stronger, but the learning curve is a bit steep, in my opinion. Your input however, is appreciated!
When it comes to brown chests try to track if its an item of gun chest. The 2 chest that spawn with the floor will have either an item or a gun. If you open one and its a gun the other will guaranteed be an item and vice versa. If you already opened the other floor chest and it was an item the brown chest is guaranteed a gun and problably not worth it but there are a lot of good brown items like litchy trigger finger, lead skin, ect, so opening brown passive chest is not s bad idea.

I still try to avoid spending keys until the floor is clear/ I know what every chest is and then make my decision on what to do with the chests. It’s safe to destroy any chests you don’t have keys for, since you can’t go back floors. Edit: the reason why I mention sir junkan is because on his second to last tier of upgrade gives you an extra life (I think it’s the only thing in the game that does that) and the final tier looses that ability, but is super powerful in terms of dps. Edit #2 electric boogaloo: if you’re lucky enough (I’m not bc I still haven’t found it yet) and you find some golden junk, you can get the golden mech. I have no comments on its use, as of course golden junk is extremely rare (from what I remember from the wiki, %chance is in the hundredths) and I have not had the pleasure of utilizing it.

It's actually VERY possible to get 9999 shell casings in a run. I played a gunslinger run and first item I got was lil' bomber, and with the King Bomber synergies, I ended up getting over 10K shell casings with clone. Thing is, I already had finished gun unlocked, so unlocking those items didn't matter.
Right! The Gunslinger has the potential to break the game so easily, it never crossed my mind. I have no idea how long would it take to generate that amount of coins though, but I see where you're coming from. Thanks for the info!

I was actually able to beat the Dragun and The Hunter's past......on a fresh save file.........on the very first run.........which also required collecting all of the Bullet components on each floor........all in one single run............. Granted, I have played the game before for many many hours, so I have plenty of experience and knowledge of the game, but I still think that's quite an achievement, considering there are pretty much no particularly strong or OP late-game weapons or passive items available on a fresh save file. I was pretty surprised that I was able to do it.
The Altar is a room that has a pedestal in which you can place the Old Crest to access the Abbey of the True Gun. This Altar is located in a random room in the Gungeon Proper (2nd chamber) You get the Old Crest by accessing the Oubliette. This Old Crest acts as armor and it's always going to be placed upfront, regardless of the armor you've picked up or pick up later. You get hit, you lose the Old Crest. You get to the Oubliette by putting off the fire in the fire place located in the Keep of the Lead Lord (1st chamber), activating the switch inside the fireplace, going to the new unlocked room and using 2 keys to remove the locks. You're welcome 👍.
The Obelite is like stage 4 after stage 1. Make sure you understand that before going in. It’s much harder than stage 2 but it leaves you with a LOT more firepower. And the crest is HARD to move it without getting hit

If you kick that barrel at the fireplace it will put it out Then you go in and there is actually a switch in the fireplace. That opens the entrance for a secret stage, “Oubliette”. It requires two keys to open. It is much harder than the second stage, and there is a red crest that acts as an armor when you pick it up. It’s actually a key for the second secret stage. After you beat the Oubliette, that next floor has the entrance in the room with no enemies: just tombs

The best tip is practice (except disguise it as just playing the game) You'll slowly see yourself being able to claw farther and farther into the gungeon
Just got into this game as it is free and bruh, it's so difficult. Can only JUST get past level 2. Does it get any easier over time when you get used to it? Or is it not one of those games?
This is a game that involves skill. It requires a lot of practice and enemy pattern memorization. Unlocking new weapons and items can make the experience easier, but it'll mean nothing if you can't dodge enemy projectiles properly. Just keep playing and practice until you get the hang of it, while keeping these tips in mind.

I got used to BOI quickly and it wasn't long before I was able to get far into the game/unlock characters. However, with this, I just seem to keep dying over and over on the second level and never get any better. I got to level 3 once. I only started playing today, so haven't been playing long. But I did like 10-20 runs and never got any better. That normal?
I just so happened to be playing EtG on Linux to test a PC out because it was acting up, I don't use Linux on a daily basis. I wish I could though, but I need Windows for work and for most of the tools I use.
@@fluffy_preacher Those are Ox and Cadence. They're usually one of the first NPCs you unlock first. Once you free them, their provide unlockable items and weapons for future runs you can buy with hegemony credits (the green currency dropped by bosses).
Glad to hear that! To put it simple, if you use the Gun That Can Kill The Past without the Bullet That Can Kill The Past, your run ends there and the game sends you back to the beginning.
I can't really say for certain. You need to be lucky enough to have armor spawn during your run, yet good enough to avoid damage while you have them, which is easier said than done. Playing as the Robot won't help either, since the Tinker will request 6 armor instead. You can't even leave armor on the floor, because the Resourceful Rat will steal it. If you find the Gunknight Helmet, Armor, Gauntlet and/or Greaves, you'll get armor on every floor, so that's a good option. The Full Metal Jacket will consume a blank right before taking damage, so you can save armor with that too. You also get a piece of armor when you pick it up. And that's all I can think of a the top of my head. Hope it helps!
Oh my god. I had basically the perfect run, and found my first rainbow chest. I open it luckily with a lockpick, and it was an infuriating note. This game man.
I’m new to this game, just got it yesterday actually. I’ve managed to reach Chamber 5 three times already, but everytime, randomly in a room, I get set on fire. I then die by “some fire”, am I doing something wrong? Or am I stepping on fire or something? I don’t think it’s that though... I had 4 hearts and I died all the way through. I couldn’t set the fire off or anything, my character was just on fire and it wouldn’t set off.
Oh geez, that's really sucks, never had that happen before. If you tried dodge-rolling constantly until putting off the flames, then your best option would be to contact the devs about it, that sounds like an awful glitch to happen in the last chamber.

This happened to me as well just now. 4 hearts 2 shields and whamo kept burning to death out of nowhere…death screen said “some fire”. I got the fire from that spider that leaves a trail of webbing which ignites
Ah, right, I could have mentioned it in the video. My bad! That's the Paradox. You have to kill at least one Gungeoneer's past in order to be able to unlock it. Once that requirement is met, on chambers 1 through 3, there's a chance you find a weird purple puddle on the floor that you have to step on and hit A (Xbox One layout). Once you do, your character will turn purple and have this cool effect on it that will not affect your gameplay in any way. After that, you then have to either kill the Gungeoneer's past or kill the Lich. It goes without saying, but stick to the former option. And there you have it! The Paradox is fun because it starts up with random equipment, but it takes Hegemony credits to play every time. It's worth the trouble though!
I usually play it on PC with a controller, but I also have a copy for the Nintendo Switch and Epic Games. I also got the free copy on PSN, but I don't own a PS4.
First off, you need to have all the parts for the Bullet That Kills The Past. Then you have to kill a gungeoneer's past, then beat the High Dragun and go down the hole before the chest with the suicide gun. Welcome to Bullet Hell. Good luck!

@@himothy555 The giant dragon that is made out of guns. You face it in the Forge, the 5th chamber. Sorry, I got it wrong. You have to kill the past of all 4 main characters to access the 6th chamber.
First and foremost, play the tutorial to learn the basics and the mechanics. Sounds cliché, but it's worth going through, especially when they teach you that your best friend is the dodge-roll. You are absolutely immune to any kind of damage during the first half of the dodge-rolling animation, which happens to be when your character is in the air. That being said, there are situations where walking around the bullets is a far better option than constantly dodge-rolling. Take as much cover as you can in order to familiarize with your surroundings and enemies behavior. Flip tables, take your distance or Whenever you are in a floor with NPCs behind a locked door, don't leave them behind, as they will provide you with better (and sometimes worse) equipment for later runs. Don't restart the run if you get hit in the first floor. It sucks, for sure, but it's better to learn by going through the stages, as you will never die in one hit. And reiterating what I said at the beginning of the video: The game requires a lot of practice and skill. Skill you can get from practicing. Practice makes perfect and there's no better way to practice than by playing the frikin' game.

The Obelite is like stage 4 after stage 1. Make sure you understand that before going in. It’s much harder than stage 2 but it leaves you with a LOT more firepower. And the crest is HARD to move it without getting hit

@@derrickshowproductions3010 in the first stage there is always a fireplace room. Usually there is a water barrel in it, or at least near it. If you kick that barrel at the fireplace it will put it out
Then you go in and there is actually a switch in the fireplace. That opens the entrance for a secret stage, “Oubliette”. It requires two keys to open. It is much harder than the second stage, and there is a red crest that acts as an armor when you pick it up.
It’s actually a key for the second secret stage. After you beat the Oubliette, that next floor has the entrance in the room with no enemies: just tombs

Just got into this game as it is free and bruh, it's so difficult. Can only JUST get past level 2. Does it get any easier over time when you get used to it? Or is it not one of those games?
This is a game that involves skill. It requires a lot of practice and enemy pattern memorization. Unlocking new weapons and items can make the experience easier, but it'll mean nothing if you can't dodge enemy projectiles properly.
Just keep playing and practice until you get the hang of it, while keeping these tips in mind.
@@ThatOneArgentinianGamer Aye, thanks. I've been playing binding of Isaac, so I'm familiar with the game style. I'm also not a stranger to difficult games. I got used to BOI quickly and it wasn't long before I was able to get far into the game/unlock characters.
However, with this, I just seem to keep dying over and over on the second level and never get any better. I got to level 3 once.
I only started playing today, so haven't been playing long. But I did like 10-20 runs and never got any better. That normal?

@@fluffy_preacher Those are Ox and Cadence. They're usually one of the first NPCs you unlock first. Once you free them, their provide unlockable items and weapons for future runs you can buy with hegemony credits (the green currency dropped by bosses).

To put it simple, if you use the Gun That Can Kill The Past without the Bullet That Can Kill The Past, your run ends there and the game sends you back to the beginning.

The bosses are so nasty in this game. I do 150 summersaults and STILL die. Yet I come back to play again and again

I know I'm late, but what's the easiest way to get 3 shields / armor to level 3? I'm fixing the elevator.
I can't really say for certain. You need to be lucky enough to have armor spawn during your run, yet good enough to avoid damage while you have them, which is easier said than done.
Playing as the Robot won't help either, since the Tinker will request 6 armor instead.
You can't even leave armor on the floor, because the Resourceful Rat will steal it.
If you find the Gunknight Helmet, Armor, Gauntlet and/or Greaves, you'll get armor on every floor, so that's a good option.
The Full Metal Jacket will consume a blank right before taking damage, so you can save armor with that too. You also get a piece of armor when you pick it up.
And that's all I can think of a the top of my head. Hope it helps!

I’m new to this game, just got it yesterday actually. I’ve managed to reach Chamber 5 three times already, but everytime, randomly in a room, I get set on fire.
I then die by “some fire”, am I doing something wrong? Or am I stepping on fire or something? I don’t think it’s that though... I had 4 hearts and I died all the way through. I couldn’t set the fire off or anything, my character was just on fire and it wouldn’t set off.
Oh geez, that's really sucks, never had that happen before. If you tried dodge-rolling constantly until putting off the flames, then your best option would be to contact the devs about it, that sounds like an awful glitch to happen in the last chamber.

This happened to me as well just now. 4 hearts 2 shields and whamo kept burning to death out of nowhere…death screen said “some fire”. I got the fire from that spider that leaves a trail of webbing which ignites
There are parts of the floor on level 5 that will start burning you. You have to roll repeatedly.
The farthest ive gotten is getting to the third chamber and then i died to a trap room and i was very sad

That's the Paradox. You have to kill at least one Gungeoneer's past in order to be able to unlock it.
Once that requirement is met, on chambers 1 through 3, there's a chance you find a weird purple puddle on the floor that you have to step on and hit A (Xbox One layout). Once you do, your character will turn purple and have this cool effect on it that will not affect your gameplay in any way.
After that, you then have to either kill the Gungeoneer's past or kill the Lich. It goes without saying, but stick to the former option.
And there you have it! The Paradox is fun because it starts up with random equipment, but it takes Hegemony credits to play every time. It's worth the trouble though!

First off, you need to have all the parts for the Bullet That Kills The Past. Then you have to kill a gungeoneer's past, then beat the High Dragun and go down the hole before the chest with the suicide gun.

How bout the first time players like me?
First and foremost, play the tutorial to learn the basics and the mechanics. Sounds cliché, but it's worth going through, especially when they teach you that your best friend is the dodge-roll. You are absolutely immune to any kind of damage during the first half of the dodge-rolling animation, which happens to be when your character is in the air. That being said, there are situations where walking around the bullets is a far better option than constantly dodge-rolling.
Take as much cover as you can in order to familiarize with your surroundings and enemies behavior. Flip tables, take your distance or
Whenever you are in a floor with NPCs behind a locked door, don't leave them behind, as they will provide you with better (and sometimes worse) equipment for later runs.
Don't restart the run if you get hit in the first floor. It sucks, for sure, but it's better to learn by going through the stages, as you will never die in one hit.
And reiterating what I said at the beginning of the video: The game requires a lot of practice and skill. Skill you can get from practicing. Practice makes perfect and there's no better way to practice than by playing the frikin' game.
