Thank you for the update, all the styles are gorgeous. After seeing your other microlocs video a few months ago I had started putting my hair in microlocs with some curly extensions at the end, and hopefully I’ll finish some day soon lol. And I’m loving your iconic example setting of changing out the extensions whenever you like, to whatever curl texture we fancy at the time, or just rocking our own powerful coiled hair - it all makes me feel more free in my hair expression. Thanks so much for your example and your content, it’s really been helpful for me in changing up from weaves to my natural hair. 🧜🏾♀️❤
I started adding hair to my mini twist because of your videos that then evolved into me learning how to do Boho braids and at some point this year I would like to install mini braids, but use a curly hair a 3B hair texture, preferably at the bottom of my hair, I think that you have really allowed a technological change in how we do protective styling so I really want to thank you for your content

@@dreamlocs yes! It was a game changer for me bc i like “loose hair” it’s how i wear my real hair. But i love protective styles so being able to have the same length as my straight hair or longer…and workout friendly has been a game changer.

Awww Thank you so much!!! You should try locs out! The first couple of months you can take them out if you don’t want them. But honestly I think you would love them 🩷🩷

I have been waiting for an update. You inspired me to start my locs with the curly extensions. Best move I ever made. I have the same issue too my curly extensions slip when I wash.
Awww I’m happy you started your loc journey 😍! It is such a fun journey! I have a video coming hopefully within this week. That will help with that problem hopefully. Because my clients probably lose 1-2 curls every 8 week’s. sometimes they don’t lose any.

So I install the better locs hair last September. I have to braid and braid when I wash or the extensions slip out. I’m excited to see a more in depth way of how you attach the locs as your looks so secure

Yes! Yes! Yes! I’ve been checking back for updates! Your videos make me want to reinstall my extensions. I’m searching for a more low luster hair because I did not like the contrast between my hair and the extensions. I really think it’s because I colored the hair.

@@dreamlocs Thank you for the inspiration chica! In your opinion, which hair performs better? Which will hold up longer? Which was easier to install - like due to being slippery during the install? Which matched your hair texture best?
Both hair held up really good. The raw hair is more maintenance ✨ as far as making sure the hair is detangled every week. With the better locs you can go longer without having to detangle. A lot of people said the raw hair looked really natural in my locs. I would put both hairs back in. If your looking for something that’s not as shiny. Maybe the better locs jewel texture or the raw hair.

Hey beautiful! How do you keep your curls from sliding out when you wash your hair? I have about 250 micro locs so they aren't super small and I have the BetterLocs curly bundles in and every few weeks I lose a curl and have to replace it. Just wondering if you have that issue or if the way you tie yours in holds them well. I'm about to do another install with some different hair and want to make sure these stay in a little better. Any advice is appreciated. Love the new video. Thank you! 🌸🪷
Hey!! I remember seeing your locs. They are so beautiful 😍. Do you tie your extensions at the end with a crochet hook? I would say if your locs are thicker maybe try feeding in smaller pieces at the bottom. Instead of putting one thick strand at the end, break the strand up in 3 parts and feed it in at the bottom. I hope that made since. Put it’s normal to lose a curl every month or so just from daily maintenance.

Thank You So Much ! 😍 you can put the extensions in right away after putting in your microlocs. The first time I did my locs I wanted 2-3 weeks to put the extensions in. But only because I’m lazy and it’s hard for me to do all those steps without taking a break.

Thank You So Much 🩷!! It takes about 2-3 mins for each locs 😩 and I have 500-600 locs. I give myself 3 days-5 days depending on how lazy I’m feeling.

How do you get your actual locs to look so silky?
I actually do absolutely nothing to my natural locs and I need to do better 🤦🏾♀️

Have you tried ywigs water curly hair bundles?
I haven’t tried ywigs water curl but I have tried ygwigs water curl and it’s good hair. I’m not sure if they are the same company or not ✨.
Just make sure when you order hair always get the double drawn hair. So you won’t get the small hairs that come in some bundles
Can you permanently keep these in?
I believe it’s a long term style 1-2 years but not permanent
Does your locs grow after taking out your extension?
Yes 😊 since I started my loc extension journey almost 2 years ago. It has grown from my ears to my shoulders. Sometimes when I’m cutting out my extensions. I might cut .5 inches of my natural hair. If I didn’t braid past my natural hair when putting in the extensions.
@dreamlocs it's beautiful!!!..I have extension for a year...I think I have another year to go...I did the extension until I get to a length I'm happy with....people make it seem like extensions is bad...but I think it's great especially until you reach the length you like
