There was a huge controversy about someone in Japan counterfeitting a ton of those Blue Eyes cards from Capsule Monsters. Strictly Sealed touches on it during his overview of the set.

I always try to find some when I go back to Japan and earlier this year it was so hard to find any in raw. I do have a minty Secret Green version that I need to send to BGS, but after you recent experiences I’m not sure haha 😅
ill be honest i never used a black light ( i know its for white specks) only a ring light and ive been pretty ok at grading. i have graded a latios and latias from someone and i thought it was gonna get a 6 and it got a 8 dub for him cause it had a noticeable ding
I love the ddm promos. I have a psa 10 prismatic secret rare of the pink, and blue versions, and a psa 10 ultimate rare of the green, and pink version. Sadly my ulti pink has edge wear and doesn't really deserve the 10 lol.
Can't have PSA grading both ways. Consistency is bad when the grade is lower than previous but consistency doesn't matter when you're looking for a grade bump
If resubmission is a downgrade, there's something wrong with the grading company. Its like an apple all of a sudden change into an orange??? If it's graded professionally the grades should be consistent
@@jamshush you're missing the point. It should remain the same, there should be consistency in grading to show professionalism in the company. Even if it goes up means there will be opportunity to go down for future submissions too.
Yeah bgs didn’t grade my banned Misty’s tears, then they graded my English ninetales ex sr as a Japanese copy so it’s labeled Japanese but it’s English 😂
I gave up with grading because of that kind of crap, zero explanation with psa, why the grade is what it is. It literally all depends on the graders' hangover.
Dont understand the hate for the Nami card , we have so many artworks of her and any other character. Trying different artstyles as a special like when mangakas draw characters from different series is a really cool Idea
Definitely agree with you on your conspiracy theory of grading. I sent 12 cards to BGS and 8 got 10s! The cheapest card of the whole submission got a black label! Maybe if I spent more on a higher tier they would give them the black labels they deserve?!? 🤷🏾♂️
resubbing a card 10 times in hopes that it cheeses a 10 is such cringe part of the hobby. I know that's just part of the grading game, and I don't blame people who do it - but its so weird.
Whoever designed the art work for that nami card deserves a life sentence
