Running in the heat is a blast! Especially here in Phx. Arizona during the summer. One waist-pack bottle of electrolites and one hand-held bottle of water. Both 21oz for 10+ milers.
guys please hydrate. i used to not drink water. at all. i thought since i got water from nutrients and food i didn’t need it. you do!! i would run 40 200s, 6 1000s, or even 7 miles at practice. i didn’t drink water afterwards. not even after meets. i hates water. the dehydration finally caught up with me. it’s been super hard the past few weeks. i’m trying to drink as much as possible. i ended up in the er one night and had to get an iv. it’s not good guys!!
@@calvinilkay1067 No No No, very wrong. It’s the opposite, not stretching will cause shin splints and increase the chance of pulling a muscle or a muscle injury
@@qttscarlet that's completely against all modern science. Dynamic stretching which is moving a muscle through a range of motion is good and static stretching which is holding it makes your muscles around 5-10% weaker. Static is for after
What sort of temperatures do you run at mate? I’m in 🇬🇧 I did a quick 5k in 31 degrees heat yesterday and thought I was going to die. 😂 I’d imagine this is a normal day in Texas?!
Bruh im in SA , idk how it's even possible that your running in this weather
Not to mention this summer has been so much hotter in SA than last year. 🥵

Bro, running in Texas, particularly in the Houston area I’d miserable

Osprey hydro packs work great too on longer runs. I have a 1.5 liter pack and usually carry it on anything longer than a 10 mile run
Come to Houston at Generation Park/Summerwood, I would love to run with you.
Wtf every 5 miles lol? How much would you drink each pit stop then like 20oz? I just use a camelback and tap little sips the whole time
Do you do a loop and just loop back to your car, when I go on long runs I usually bring a little water bottle with me
Can you do your pre run stretch because my parents say I need to stretch more
No
You don't need to stetch a lot it'll make you slower and you muscles weaker. Stretching is for after
You should do dynamic streching (streches where you are moving) before the run and static streches after the run or the workout

I learned for my long runs a camel back backpack works great.
I use the salomon adv skin 12 trail running vest for my long runs, and carry 2 16oz water bottles with it. It works great as well.

It’s usually 25-26C at 6am in Texas during the summer, which is the low temperature for the day. Even at 8pm it’s often still 37C
So bro its fine to wait and drink water...in the middle of 10k run or 15k run?
Get a hydro sleeve. 8-10 oz on your arm, no slosh, game changer! It’s light and you won’t even notice it
I like running/ riding to a water fountain or place where I could get a cup of water for free
Can you recommend a good trail running shoe
First, and thanks!
how to you prevent your stitch from hurting when running?
ATX parking ain’t no joke.
People ask how you drink water
What about rest day ?
