Congratulations, that's exciting news! I read 'In Praise of Difficult Women' by Karen Karbo. Think the witch song from Into the Woods. Then I picked up 'Lies and Weddings', an unhinged 1% soap opera. It's like Kevin Kwan thought a moment and said: "this book needs more volcanoes". 😅
Congrats on the new job! I think Talented Mr. Ripley would be a book I would enjoy, but just haven't gotten around to it. I'll have to add it to my ever increasing list.

Talented Mr Ripley series is now definitely on my reading horizon, as is the Ali Smith seasons quartet. 📚Unfortunatley, I've broken my book ban in a big way recently 😅 So many more to read but what a joy it'll be to take it all in. I'm currently reading Yellowface and Dead Poet's Society, with about ten more to read next D: I'm hoping to get back on the Booktube wagon now the weather has cooled off a little. Congratulations on the new job! The waiting is awful! The Berlin Stories sounds chilling - I didn't realize Cabaret was derived from that book. I'd really like to read Ripley - I've never read anything by Highsmith. I saw the movie but want to read the book(s). I also haven't tried the Ali Smith quartet. Open Throat sounds interesting. Sounds like a good reading month!

In June, I caught up on my backlog of Antoine Lauraine books, because he's an amazing writer, and I love his quiet stories. I read some other fiction, but my favorite for the month was Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano. What a book! 💚
used to be excited to try the spring quartet but i've had mixed experiences with Ali Smith, sounds like you too - which month would you recommend starting with? ~ i AM still really looking forrward to Mr. Ripley, espesh after hearing you sing his praises =)

In June I finished A Whole New World - the Aladdin story from Disney’s Twisted Tales series. I fully enjoyed it. ☺️🧞♂️ I am currently reading Anne of Green Gable and it’s adorable so far.

I think that Autumn and Spring are both strong books. Loved Ripley!
