my fiancé of 4 years just left me 3 days before we were supposed to move in together. really need this company tonight mary, thank you. i love dogs, i have 4. i've had many in my life though. we've got 3 mutts and a throwback pomeranian. 2 of them are "elderly" as you said and 1 is middle aged, the newest one to the pack is a puppy, turning 1 in august. we're so used to having laid back older dogs, the new one has so much energy and he goes wild if he doesn't get to get the energy out. he is a big boy, we got him when he was small and had no idea he was going to get so big. but he's perfect, he has a pouty face. sorry for rambling, just feeling lonely and needed a reason to talk. thanks for the video mary!
The best advice I received when in a similar situation was you have to feel it to heal it I was trying to just go about my life and not deal with how I felt it was so much easier for lack of a better word to just let myself take the time to feel all the feelings so I could heal and get back to my new life although very different I realized how much better it could be I hope u find your healing soon.

A friend had a Basset Hound. They are so low to the ground, you kind of forget how long they are. She could grab stuff on the counter by stretching up. She pulled down a pizza once, stole steaks destined for the grill, and the cleaning woman's lunch more than once.
Appreciate the time you take to give us such relaxing content still with your schedule. There’s a lot of value into what you do for us. A lot of people listen to you when they’re going through a hard time in life or just need some comfort to get relaxation from the stresses of life. Hard to find wholesomeness nowadays. We had a Bassett hound! Her name was Blossom. She was super layed back, and just as sweet. ❤ Her idea of a good time was to wallow around in my mamaw's flower bed ( not a good time for mamaw😂) and then flop in the yard for a nap.

Demand for Dalmatian puppies went up after 101 Dalmatians came out. People were irresponsibly breeding them and then a large percentage ended up being partly or fully deaf.
I knew I would love the video, but after recognizing that's it's the same book I had as a child, it's even more fun. Seems to be a worldwide book, I had it on german. Thank you, Mary 💜💜💜
The reason we remember seeing certain breeds of dogs at certain times in our lives is because of television and film, especially Disney. Collies were popular in the 60s and 70s because of the "Lassie" television series. Dalmations went through an unfortunate popularity phase due to the release of Disney's live action "101 Dalmations," (Glenn Close as Cruella DeVille). Then came "Beverly Hills Chihuahua," and "Legally Blonde." Mary is spot on (no pun intended)--Dalmations are a stubborn, aloof breed not suitable for young familes. Collies have double coats that require hours of brushing. And, Chihuahuas are Chihuahuas--big dogs in little dog suits. I loved this video! =^..^=

I wouldn't be surprised if the popularity of owning Dalmatians waxed and waned with the release of the live-action 101 Dalmatians films. A similar thing apparently occurred with the animated film, too. Also, Crufts is a big dog show!
