  • In this video, I reveal the five BIGGEST QUESTIONS facing the Georgia Bulldogs Football team heading into the 2024 college football season. The Dawgs once again have one of the most talented teams in the country and are poised for another run at a national championship, but that does not mean that this team enters the coming season without any questions to answer. I detail what those questions are and how Georgia will potentially answer them in 2024 as the Dawgs pursue their third national championship in four seasons. #georgia #georgiabulldogs #georgiafootball #georgiabulldogsfootball #ugafootball #godawgs #secfootball #collegefootball

    Rlly think Julian Humphrey not only looks down the 2nd cb spot but has a great year. He was dynamic in the Missouri game and may be the best pure cover cb in the room with his speed and agility

    Ellis Robinson IV I'd expect to rotate in for Julian Humphrey where as Daylen Everette is CB1

      Could very easily happen. Dude is insanely talented. But Daniel Harris is a freak in his own right and has been in the system for a year. There is a reason our staff fought so hard to keep him when he declared for the portal. It would be unprecedented under Kirby Smart but I could absolutely see a 4-man rotation at CB. In the portal age, you’ve got approach things differently or guys will leave.

    I don’t think you should look at that Georgia Tech game too much. It was the game before the SEC championship so obviously they weren’t trying to do too much they just wanted to get in and get out with the Win. I will admit these WR room has to be good this year! I’m expecting Dominic Lovett to be really good.

      For sure. It was just one game but it was also our only sample of what the offense looked like without Brock and Ladd. Of course, this year guys will have different roles all year and won’t be adjusting into those roles the last game of the season. I’m extremely confident in our WR room. Has a chance to be the best in UGA history and I think Yurosek will be a stud, but we still don’t fully “know” yet.

      Yeah saving it for the big game and then saved it for Florida State. But they also caught the UNDER From Vegas Total in tech game and Bama game and 10 Times all season their offense scored below Vegas Under projection

    Idk if we will ever have that kind of run game ever again I mean Nick Chubb and Sony Michelle were damn near generational talents. That being said we can do much better than we did last year! I don’t think Kendall lived up to the potential they thought he had and Branson would have probably been our main back and could have provided that explosive run game but he was hurt. I do have high hopes this year! We already know Etienne is good and Rod Rob has shown flashes but I’m really hyped up for Nate Frazier I think he could see playing time this year!

      @gloryuga  Před měsícem +1

      Agreed. That was other worldly. But that doesn’t mean we can’t be more explosive in the run game. Strong correlation between explosive plays and touchdowns. We need all we can get.
      And TBH, there aren’t a ton of questions for this team so when you get down to #5, you’re kind of grasping at straws 😅

    Deep ball on offense and corners and d-line for defense are the big ones for me.
    Kirby will right the ship.

      @gloryuga  Před měsícem +1

      Definitely missed a few deep balls that were there, but we also hit a lot of them, too. Secondary is absolutely a question.

    KJ Bolden trust me I see Caleb Downs in him he gets 15 practices in everytime and for Joenel Aguero I see his ceiling being high starting at STAR

    • @gloryuga
      @gloryuga  Před měsícem

      You don’t have to convince me! Saw KJ play Clarke Central in Athens as a sophomore and was sold then. Was the best player on the field and that included Isaiah Bond. It’s just about learning the defense enough to earn the trust of the coaches.
      But after what Kirby said about KJ being ahead of where Malaki was as a freshman and making direct allusions to players starting as freshmen at UGA, it’s over. Dude will play A LOT.
      Also, love Agüero. Was all over him coming into last year but then Tykee Smith had to go and have an all-sec caliber year.

    Only questions are creating havoc on the interior dline, i think edge play will be much better tho improving the overall play of the front 7, thats really my only legit question with this team, interior dline play

    • @gloryuga
      @gloryuga  Před měsícem

      It is by far my biggest question, too. We were considerably worse against the run last year, which I believe is the biggest reason why we didn't 3-peat (that and injuries) and the biggest reason we weren't as good against the run was the decline in DL play. Just didn't have guys ready to be difference-makers. That NEEDS to change this season. Young guys have to step up.

      100%. Fully expect him to play against Clemson and he has a legit chance to start. All about showing the coaches he knows enough of the defense. Kirby doesn’t just causally throw out freshmen like he did at SEC media days. He knows…

    Have you factored in the amount of carries per year .

    • @gloryuga
      @gloryuga  Před měsícem

      In 2017, 7% of our rushes were 20+ yards. Last season it was 4%. So almost half as explosive in the run game on a per-down basis.

      Not going to disagree with that. Guys could barely walk after the game. But we were banged up at WR, man. Tough to tell them not to go if they are cleared and willing to play.
