Hiss that you took away the excellent 29x3.0 and 2.6 XR2 from the line up. I was using that on my bikepacking bike with great success.

These all look good, I will need to put them to the test. I had great luck with the XR2 on my Procal, running XR3 now. I am still running a 29x3 XR2 on my adventure bike, I hope this size will remain available!

Really would've made more sense to name the new tires with the inclusion of the old name equivalent. "Gunnison XR4" or "Vallnord XR1" would've reduced confusion for people and eased your customers into the name changes.

Sick tires, I am definitely buying a pair for my Supercaliber

The XR2 29x3 is the best tire for Florida sandy and rooty trails, don't let it die!!!

I'm looking forward to trying the Montrose out once i wear out my XR4's. I see how well the Trek factory racing team does on these tires so I'm not worried about them handling what I i throw at them.

My favourite tyre was the 2.0 Mud X, then the 2.0 XR mud. What replaces those for an XC rider on muddy UK trails?

But all of these are XC tyres, what about Enduro and DH? Anyway, hopefully these are indeed better because I wasn't satisfied with the X2 tyres that came with my Trek. They were fast rolling but had very little grip for cornering and the main problem was the weak rubber. The central knobs almost disappear after 6 months of regular use.

For Enduro and DH, we're still running our SE tire line!

@@todd727300 Will the Gunnison be available in 27.5" x 2.8"?
It seems the maximum size available for 27.5" wheels is 2.6".

Unless this is your job where any of this really matters, just go to Walmart and get a set and enjoy the scenery on the trails. Now if you live in bear country then you might want to care, that’s if these tire’s actually do what he says. I’d take XC any day and make them ride just as good in the mud and gravel.

You must not mtb very seriously. Tires are very important and can make a huge difference.

  • @chuckb7176

Nope! I’m not in any competition. There is no prize won after my rides. I just go out in nature and ride. You guys who finish before me gain nothing for doing it. Therefore I enjoy the scenery. If I got paid for riding then I’d take it serious. But when your passion becomes your job it also becomes a stressor because you’re not just riding for the joy of it. You have to try and win. Don’t get me wrong, for a guy who has 15 bikes, I can get out there and ride with the best of them with stock tires if riding in a group, but solo, I take my time and enjoy nature.

According to the specs in this video, there’s not a tire for me. No 27.5? The old Bontrager tires all sucked and these will too. You say these are better in the video and drop some fancy names of rubber but don’t explain why. Did you guys have 1 day to come up with this video? Be better than this Trek. This is some amateur content.

What really blows is they took away easy to understand numbering and gave us some crap naming. How in the cunt am I suppose to know that Sainte-Anne is the grippier of the xc tires.
