taking a closer look at RTIs fully refurbished M1 Carbines. These carbines have been fully restored by James River Armory. enjoy as we take a deep dive into my particular example.
Bought the Auto Ordinance M1 Carbine 10 years ago, $700.00 works great even reload for it and never jams or malfunctions...bought the hold open magazine followers and they work great as well.
Very true. This is one of several m1 carbines in my collection. I wanted one that I don't mind getting dinged up or to shoot. I like to keep my original condition ones In good shape.
@@TheMilsurpMan Any reason to believe its new? Or they actually spent the time and cleaned them up? Some I've seen are suspicious..like they put in pulled barrel.
@TeamPaulie2520 it's an original winchester barrel with a W mark. Carbine barrels are usually in very good shape, being they were the only small arm during WW2 to utilize none corrosive ammunition. With that being said, most carbine bores have fantastic barrels.
If you don't like it don't watch🤷🏻♂️ and if you want to make your own video the way you like it. Then you have the freedom to do so 😁 there's also a skip feature are you ever going to learn that?
Always remember the Owner of R.T.I. also failed and ripping people off with his other company that made Absolute Horrible AK's International Ordinance "O.I." STAY AWAY FROM R.T.I...........!
Gun show last year I bought a NPM ww2, correct post ww2 rebuild with Anniston Arsenal rebuild stamp in an M2 stock. 650 bucks and it has a lot more history than these Miltech er um I mean James River Arsenal rebuilds.
Very good buy! You got very lucky! You definitely find deals at gunshows or shops from time to time. Also might I add that just because the rifles has been refurbished doesn't mean it's lost its history. This carbine was still produced by winchester in 1944 and retains its original parts as it left the factory minus the new stock. Thanks!
SW marked safety would be correct for a Winchester. Safeties are often fake & really need a true expert to validate the part. The H hammer is an Inland.
Im gonna start a little arguement here, but carbine williams only had the short stroke piston idea. He had very little else to do with the gun other than that. Winchester was the only actual rigle manufacturer that produced M1s. The most was by Inland, then winchester. SW on the safety is correct for a winchester but not necessarily the year, may or may not ne original. No biggie. The stock ,in my opinion is too nice, but i like my milsurps beat up like its been there done that. Not into unmarred battle rifles. Carbines are getting scarce and hense the prices are gonna sky rocket. Sucks, but ive never paid more than 300 bucks for one, but i only get battle worn and shooters. Great home defense and plinkers.
You're absolutely correct! Carbine Williams gets more credit than he really deserves. Forgotten weapons video on the true heros on the M1 Carbine is a great watch!
@@TheMilsurpMan Oh Yeah, Ian lays it all out. Hey dont let these internet snobs try to crush your spirits about getting something you want. Show and tell us the best way of teaching and sparking interest for the younger crowd. I think you did great on what you got. Cant compare today's milsurps with yester-years collecting. RTI saved a bunch from destruction and keeping the dream alive for some.
Oh hey another "Hey guys I know the last time I ordered from RTI we got burned but I'm going to continue giving those con artists money and.. oh hey look at this totally not cherry picked example I got" video..
Hey!! Thanks for watching and for your comment! This example actually wasn't cherry-picked, believe it or not. Your view allows me to fund projects like this one to educate viewers and potential customers! Thanks!☺️
I spoke with the lady from RTI when they sent me a K98k in terrible shape, super friendly and helpful. She's too good for them...

Beautiful restoration!
Looks great , cant wait to see how it shoots
Looks nice.
I owned one once. Bought it from Sears and roebuck
Looks good , but original examples can be had for less , if you're patient and shop ! 🥴

Could you imagine working for customer service at RTI lol
It would be terrible lol
👍🏼🥃🇺🇸
What did it look like right from the RTI box? I bought a "new/unissued" Carbine from them and it was awful. Got my money back less a restocking fee.
You see it. That's exactly how it looked when I picked it up. Only thing I done was add BLO to the stock.
Looks too shinny. Is that from the lights and camera or oil? Nice stock.
It's oil
Looks like you got super lucky, whats the bore like???
Beautiful! Bright and shiny! I forgot to insert the pictures before uploading

People stop giving RTI your money.
100% Right
Full auto was m2
Right! That's what I was explaining with the round bolt. It was developed for the M2 and easier to produce. Also a much stronger part
Are you ever going to open the box? 3 minutes to open the case?

@@TheMilsurpMan I am a secret shopper for yt and you just failed.
@@rcstl8815 I didn't know youtube offered M1 carbines for sale 🤔
@@TheMilsurpMan No, but we look at how creators respond to criticism.
@@rcstl8815 I bet
RTI has a horrible repetition that keeps me from buying from them.
I wish they cared more and put clients first.
Seems as of lately they've taken a step up in trying to satisfy their customers.

Remember when they were less than $50 thru NRA?

It's simply an intro song lol
