Rule number 0: Owen Wilson must have the same haircut for 20 years.
@Johnny Pants: *30 years
Iftfy, because he had that same haircut in the 90s as well.
Just like keith urban and brett michaels. Aye yi yi
And remember with a little Rust-ez {and an insane amount of luck} you too can look like me…

Clearly you haven’t watched Loki.
The painting was a gift Todd.. I am taking it with me.
That always makes me laugh my ass off
That's exactly the kind of humor that I expect from Vince Vaughn. When he tried to be serious in Hacksaw Ridge, it just didn't work for me
It’s sexual and violent.
Fun fact Vince really did take that painting. He owns it.
@@BryonLetterman like most actors...he's typecast :)
@@BryonLetterman omg I freaking lost it in hacksaw ridge😂😂😂. “Private Cornstalk!”
The only thing that makes them the “good guys” is they turn every wedding they crash from a snooze fest to a raging party.
Except not everyone needs that. Only sad guys like those 2 need to artificially fill their life with "whacky adventures" to make it have some kind of meaning. Most people are fine as they are, and if they really wanted a raging party they had more than enough resources to arrange one.
@@D64nz ok
@@D64nz Yeah but in their world they do seem to make all the wedding receptions more fun. And if youre at a wedding and having fun instead of falling asleep of boredom, that seems like a win.
@@D64nz Yeah, why weddings, of all places? If they're such party animals and wanting to have sex with lots of women, why don't they just throw parties at their place? Or go clubbing? Or they seem like the types who'd have other young single friends who'd throw parties or know someone throwing a party.
@@alvexok5523 I mean because this way is 100% free to them.

“Jeremy makes a pop culture reference that isnt A sin of the movie.”- th3birdman😭
I bet dude didn't even have audition for Gotham. Just showed them his clips from this movie.
But he was penguin
I always wondered why Vaughan explains why they crash weddings to Wilson, when they'd been doing it for years, and he'd surely know all that. Purely exposition!
Good thing he didn't say "as you know"
It can be justified as a condescending lecture, which would also fit snugly in his character's character. If you could fittingly tack on a "tell me something I don't know" retort to that sort of exposition, it isn't totally forced :-)
You needed Jeremy to tell you that it'sexposition? Sad.
because it’s a movie
@Julian Avina
Not everyone knows everything, Julian.
Mocking them doesn't make you look smarter, contrary to what you seem to believe/wish.
"'Cause I'd find you!" deserves a sin off. Such a funny line delivery. Isla Fisher is on fire in this role.
She really makes the movie!!
Altho I also can’t overlook Jane Seymour - “call me Cat! Call me KITTY KAT!”
😂😂😂
@@princessrockman9528 Shes not the best character I've ever seen in a movie. I agree with alot of things Jeremy sins. But sometimes, his sins aren't always correct. At 15:53 - 16:00, he says sitcoms aren't stories. However, I believe that sitcoms do still have stories to their episodes. A story really is technically anything that lays out a happening of events, conflicts, plots thickening, and resolutions. Many sitcom episodes have them. Now if someone was just talking about a series of sketches, then they wouldn't be stories, like SNL or Mad TV. But sitcom episodes are not just a half hour group of sketches like them, they have plots, and plots are stories.
But I definitely agree with Jeremy on things too, see my comment underneath this one to American Sports Entertainment
@American Sports Entertainment 21:08 - 21:41 - the way Owen Wilson acts here is CRINGE CRINGE CRIIIIIINGGE!!!
And of course it works because when it's only 5 minutes before the end of movie, it doesn't matter how stupid or nonsensical the resolution is, IT WILL STILL WORK!!!!
@@alvexok5523 yeah the end of the movie really ruined it for me
Isla Fisher is perfect in this movie, & I would marry Gloria in a heartbeat.
Yeah, she crushed this character
Agreed. She’s great in this. That would be the kind of crazy a guy would find hard to turn down.
My fiance says I act like her and he's supposed that he likes it.

@@willnailer2118 full on red head-crazy
I love every movie with these two guys. Even if the movie is crap, Owen and Vaughn just play off each other so perfectly!
It made $290 million on a $40 million budget, genius. Pretty far from "crap".
@Midnight Movie Man theyre both in the brat pack, but youre right only these two movies theyre together. Starsky and hutch im sure they interact but i cant remember and specifics.
@In Plain Sight Breakfast club came out 37 years ago. How can you remember something almost a decade before you were born?
@In Plain Sight ya but theyre never called brat pack or rat pack in movies, that would have only come from entertainment news, which you were not part of the zeitgeist. And the owen wilson, vince vaughn one was called the frat pack, cuz it kinda started in old school where they started a fraternity
@@deeremeyer1749money doesn't always equal quality
Okay, here's MY biggest issue with this movie:
John obviously has the feels for Claire. When all hell breaks loose at the house, and John and Jeremy leave, John starts spiraling out of control because of the feels he has for Claire. He even goes so far as to plan out how to contact Claire, just to have a few minutes to explain everything to her. During all this, Jeremy, John's best friend, secretly has a relationship with Gloria behind John's back. When John finds out, he gets mad at this.
BUT WHY?!?!?
Jeremy is marrying CLAIRE'S SISTER! He's so concerned with getting any type of communication to Claire, but when THE ABSOLUTE BEST WAY TO GET A MESSAGE TO HER falls in his lap, he gets mad? I'm sorry, but that should be 1,000 sins on that plothole alone.
And why Jeremy is forgiven and accepted by the family to be marrying Gloria but John is this horrible person who Claire wont speak to....? Incongruent
Really good point. Especially for a con artist like him. He should have immediately thought of that vs stalking. They just basically decided the nonsensical script won’t matter because Vince is so funny
And they were right
@@beachgrl0077to that I chalk up Gloria not caring as much about it considering she knew Jeremy didn’t want a relationship because he was a play boy. The dad is obviously indifferent to his children’s toxic decisions
Thank god! I thought it was just me that thought this
The punch that Jeremy delivers at the wedding to Sack is shot and edited amazingly, and the sound design’s fantastic.
It was when it came out, and it still is.
I played in a wedding/bar cover band for 2o years and I promise you, Shout got them all on their feet every single time ...
@In Plain Sight Yeah shout wasn’t popular at all before wedding crashers.🙄
Here's an unmentioned sin - Vince Vaughn is like 6'5 which is an unusual clothing size, yet they just happen to have spare clothes in big and tall size that fit him when they get to the island
The clothes were really short on him. I’m 6’3 and I’ve worn clothes from friends/family members who are like 5’10. It’s not like Andre the Giant wearing a medium. Jeremy is a few inches taller than average height.
Ya know, when CinemaSins tweeted Jeremy was attempting to speak Klingon for a sin, this was not the movie I was thinking of
I never got the part where Gloria invited John and Jeremy back to their house after the wedding. They make a very good point that they don't have anything - like clothes - only for her to tell them "we have everything you need" and somehow they have an entire wardrobe full of clothes that just happen to be in their size!
Sack and Owen are about the same size. Jeremy’s clothes are actually pretty small for him with makes sense
Walken does realize what the ropes were for when he was with Jeremy in his room. He even sees the painting that Todd gifted him. He realized what was happening but preferred to look the other way... so, that sin does not count!
Yeah, sometimes people just want to avoid the extra stress of making waves
What’s funny is Christopher Walken said “don’t make waves” to the rock in the rundown. Funny coincidence
Also I never got white vince was embarrassed Todd was in the room. It’s not like he invited him in there
And to this day, Gloria is my right kind of crazy. I'd wife that in a heartbeat. Also this movie reached the guilty pleasure status pretty fast to me.
Mom, the meatloaf!
FAAAAAACK
I never know what she’s doing in there!
I'm crashing a funeral later, dude died in a hang-gliding accident
we want it now!
Isn't this the movie that made Dwight kick out a man with dementia from Phyllis' wedding?
Yes. Yes it is.
No, Not dear old uncle Al!
Dwight: it gives me no pleasure!
Also Dwight: 😏
Yup. Uncle Al
Hahaha I watch the office a lot and that is all I think about. I honestly think this movie was hilarious but also the dumbest movie of its time. Like dumb and dumber the two main characters are perfect for each other.

Vince Vaugh and Owen Wilson are such a fun duo, this and the Internship are some of my favorite movies ever, man I wish they do more movies together.

@@tyrellthiel2201 He’s been trying to do more serious roles in recent times, though the last thing he appeared in that got any attention was Hacksaw Ridge
@@SpikeShooter92I liked Hacksaw Ridge.
Vince Vaughn is a legend at delivering his lines haha. "why are you yelling at me?" haha
The writers said "Let's name this character Sack. It'll make him look even more like a you-know-what."
Isla Fisher as Gloria is one of the best characters in a comedy movie. The movie is terrible in concept but the actors all did so damn good that it ended up being super entertaining and funny lol
The "full Walken" observation was hilarious 😂
Wait, his name was SACK????!!! I thought it was Zack. Who names their kid Sack (no offense to the Sacks of the world or anyone who comments that Sack was the 4th most popular name of 1975.)
Exactly! WTF 🤣
No...Sack's his nickname lol. Cause he always sacks in football lol...get it?
Yeah, lol. I knew a lady once who I thought her name was Bea, as in Beatrice, but it turned out her name was Bee, as in 🐝 , lol. I should've made a joke when she was about to go home, I'd tell her "Going back to your beehive, Bee?"
For some reason him picking up the scrambled eggs with his bare hand made me laugh too much 😂
I just realized Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams starred as a couple again in Midnight in Paris. For that matter McAdams and Bradly Cooper's ex girlfriend in Aloha.

@hopeless I'd like to be pimps from Oakland or cowboys from Arizona! It's the first quarter of the big game and you wanna toss up a hail mary? Grow up, Peter Pan! Count Chocula!
I thought he would sin the fact the zack couldnt possibly find out anything about them, since they only told lies and not their real names
His name isn’t Zack, it’s Sack. Seriously.
@In Plain Sight or literally pop their picture into google and google showed their FB pages ah the wonders of modern tech making stalking surprisingly easy and risk free
Jeremy told the priest who must've told someone who then told Sacs investigator.
Actually, as a former Nightclub DJ in 2005.... Shout was super popular where I was and looked just like it is shown in the movie.
I was hoping he would sin the fact that Sack just sits there and lets Jeremey have his moment during the wedding. Drives me crazy that scene is so lazy!
I thought he would sin when he says he crashed a funeral in front of everyone!
You mean John.
This was one of those movies that surprised me. I wound up really enjoying it… wow, I just realized that he’s reviewing the extended cut.
I don't care how sinful, I love this movie.
Well your horrible according to Jeremy
Sometimes it's ok to have guilty pleasures, I didn't know this was one of mine until I saw how many people hated it XD
I mean the cast is great; and the two leads have a fantastic energy. There is a lot to like...
@@jakobbauz If you ignore the problematic parts it’s a funny movie.
@@BBAERSTANCE1 Jeremy is an ass-hole tbf and yea this movie is immoral and stupid kinda uncomfortable, this is a guilty pleasure but i kinda don't like it, but its still kinda funny.
im pretty sure the bride and groom would know who they invited to their own wedding.
Or if they had someone they invited tell them they're bringing a friend
Not by face. I've photographed many and the Bride and Groom had to be introduced to a ton of people who were invited because of mom or dad or uncle Leo
People get +1’s to weddings. Several of my friends brought dates I had never met to my wedding.
Many bride-side people will be unknown to the groom and many groom-side people unknown to the bride, I think that's the main thing they count on, they probably have a firm policy to stay away from the couple when they're together. And often other people get inviting privileges, I once was invited to a wedding where the groom's mother was a good friend of my mother and she admired how I helped out my mom so she invited both of us, so I had the strange experience of saying to both the bride AND groom "nice to meet you", LOL!
The syrup thing deserves more sins. The Lodges are a New England family and have landholdings across the area. They probably own a decent maple tapping operation as a hobby/additional income source. I guess Uncle Ned was in charge of keeping the syrup stocked.
Artificial syrup is better than real syrup. I have tried both and real maple syrup disappointed me.
@@calvincoolidge1485 you can leave
The funny thing is that while Isla Fisher's character is portrayed as the younger sister to Rachel McAdams character in the film, Isla is actually 2 years older than Rachel.
I don't recall much of this movie outside me thinking the entire time, "damn... Isla Fisher is effing gorgeous!"
The crazy also didn't help any with my attraction to her.

"Rachel Mcadams is confusingly, romantically interested in a really bad person in a movie" cliche. nice.
how about, "Rachel Mcadams is confusingly, romantically interested in the wrong guy" cliche? i mean, it's your cliches, boss. it's just that this one might cover quite a few more movies, like the nice guy, James Marsden, in the Notebook, the time traveler (eric bana) who always stands her up on a date in the Time Traveler's Wife, or that other nice guy, channing tatum, that gives her amnesia and makes her forget all about him in the Vow.
rachel mcadams looking confusingly interested is her bread and butter, annnd i probably wouldn't have it any other way.

One thing that always puzzled me about the plot was exactly where were these weddings taking place? Their hometown? A town or two over? Out of state? Maybe someone else commented this, but this movie is responsible for several deaths and many people getting sick due to the Visine in the drink move. It's very poisonous, don't do it. As of this video being released just a couple weeks ago a frat bro died because they put way too much Visine in his drink.
It wasn't good that this movie took the idea and used it as a plot point, but it didn't invent the idea. The whole Visine in the drink thing has been around for a couple decades at least. I remember my mom talking about it when I was a kid.
