  • Join BZ Travel in Episode 62 of our Ultimate World Cruise as we navigate the complexities and realities of visiting Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from the distant Port Klang. This episode gives you an insider's look at what happens when travel plans meet reality in the exciting yet challenging world of cruising.
Our adventure starts as we dock at Port Klang, the gateway to Kuala Lumpur, which is located two hours away from the city’s glittering skyline and cultural landmarks like the Twin Towers. Faced with the prospect of a lengthy bus ride and limited time ashore, we opt for a more local experience around Port Klang, delving into the everyday life and lesser-seen aspects of the area.
We share insights from our previous visits to Kuala Lumpur, reminiscing about vibrant street food experiences on Jalan Alor and the bustling city life. However, this time, we choose to explore closer to the port, uncovering the industrial and commercial layers of Port Klang. This includes a surprising encounter at an Ikea factory, illustrating the global connections and local economic activities that shape this region.
We discuss the joys and challenges of cruising, offering a candid look at the reality versus expectations of visiting world-famous destinations by ship.

Excellent video, great photography and very informative.
I particularly liked the line.. It is not about us.. I wished more people who make travel videos would realize it is not necessary for them to be in the picture every scene.

Wow! Famous! And only just half way round?! How wonderful you have so much beauty still to come - including my home nation, the UK! You are right we live in a global economy if we choose to - you guys are so great at seeking out the local - that's what we must all always do. The good things about Malls though is the AC and somewhere to regroup, especially in really hot and humid weather. Here's to day 138 and new adventures!

I get my hair done in the ship’s hair salon on sea days. I scheduled every 5-6 weeks just like at home.

A few things I noticed. Not only were a lot of the signs in English, but there were several signs that had Caucasian models for the product. Also, I guess everybody backs into parking spaces there. I found that really interesting. I also noticed the really pretty necklace you were wearing .
I guess every port can’t be wonderful because then you wouldn’t appreciate the really wonderful ones. Hope the humidity goes down and stay safe.
