    Late preparation is one of the biggest things preventing players from hitting a good quality one handed backhand. Late preparation causes issues with timing and prevents players from being able to generate power. It also increases the number of unforced eros players make.
    If you want to turn your single handed backhand into a weapon, you need to prepare early. This video will show you how to do it.

    this could be one of the most underrated video of all times,
    while most of the tutorial focus on the body and the racket movement, this video is the first to break down and remind us how important the footwork is.
    looking forward to my next tennis class 😀

      Glad you found it helpful. I sometimes wonder if the other online coaches are playing a different game to me, because I've always found that I have to get to the ball before I can hit it.... But as you said, no-one talks about footwork 😀

    The moment I focussed more on preparation and footwork instead of the swing itself, this massively improved my game. This was helpful 🙌 Keep it up. I subscribed

    Can’t stress enough how good this video was. Great, great stuff, man. I feel like footwork is just about as important as the stroke technique, but it is often dismissed or neglected by coaches and CZcamsrs alike. It would be lovely if you could keep these footwork lessons coming (especially with drills), especially for forehands as well!

      Thanks. I’ve got a couple of videos for the forehand, but will be adding them on deep and short balls soon 🙏

    Can you please make a video about the choice of stance for cross court vs down the line one handed backhand? Thanks

    Have you made any videos on the 1HBH return of serve? Any suggestions when to play shorter or deeper? Should I have shorter takeback than usual?

    • @TennisHacker
      @TennisHacker  Před 2 lety

      I don't have any videos on the return mainly because I don't have anyone to serve at me :-)
      It's hard to make tactical recommendations, but generally the take back will be shorter because you have less time.

      I’ve found that going further behind the baseline makes the swing easier. Split step right as they’re gonna hit the ball and decide between a OHBH swing or a high deep slice.

      Pain is complex stuff, so it would be impossible for me to know what is causing your issue.

      Usually you have weak shin muscle and or calves muscles. You get pain because they are a huge part of accelerating and stopping. Source: I weigh 300lbs and have been playing sports for a while, my shin pain stopped when I started weightlifting to improve these two muscular groups. cheers.
