Also heavily influenced by Heath Ledger's Joker I feel. The various back stories, the face , and there is one banner pose where she is hanging her head out of a moving truck like Ledger did in Dark Knight.

Crazy theory: What if Horizon's meddling with time travel and Alter's dimension-hopping are somehow linked with her "many pasts"? Like, say Horizon keeps tinkering with time and each attempt sees an "Alter"-ation of Alter's past. But the kick is her abilities let her remember each one.

I think that if Alter was patient zero for the portal testing then it might be that she had multiple peoples memories from different dimensions given to her and thats why she has so many backstories but it would also be what drove her crazy and doesn't allow her to know details hence dead parents.

This is just jobu from "everything everywhere all at once". They probably have dimension hopping abilities that make them able to do what every other legend does. The physical design symbolizes a chimera.

I don't think Alter was lying about living those lives. She probably traversed dimensions and lived the life of each legend to understand them and maybe torment them.
I think that the reason why alter has so many backstorys is because she had her mind well altered

What a coincidence - Dead by Daylight released a killer who is literally called the Unknown, with that character's backstory being a complete mystery, and all we know about the killer are simply rumors and speculations from the game's lore itself....And now Alter kinda does the same thing.

In the scene, she wields a staff that seems to expand and contract (Ryui Jingu Bang, Wukong’s signature weapon), and she fights like a bipedal spider monkey (Wukong is based on certain kinds of spider monkeys).
in my eyes I have not seen a gameplay trailer that beats the Apex S3 gameplay trailer. prove me wrong with the one coming out on friday

she's got a 20m tunnel ability, teleporting through walls
and a device she can place down where she can teleport back to from 200m distance
she seems extremely situational, as her tactical is only really useful in buildings, and enemies can chase you through the portal
and her ultimate is just revenant totem with a different coat of paint
There is no timer on the ult and you don't need to be damaged to "Recall" so to speak.

and on top of that you need to pre-place it, which means it isn't even an escape.
i don't see any point in the game where this thing becomes useful. in the lategame you don't have the room to wander around to fall back to it. and in the midgame you need to ring run so retreating is pointless anyway.

The joke is she is a sociopath and the varied back stories are because she doesnt have one. She was born and then just lives for her enjoyment and edification. No trauma caused it, no incidents motivated it, she just enjoys what she does. The making fun of the back stories is because she finds it silly that people need one to have reasons to do what they do.

I feel like alter is wraith but a different universe that truly understands how to use the portal abilities and she looks insane because the portals make you become mental, like how wraith is always holding her head due to the pain, alter is wraith that figured it out but due to that went mental
My two cents on her story is that she chould be Horizon's child that had been given from or taken from Horizon by the organisation to test on it. She saw or lived mentally/spiritually all those legends backstories while going through dimensions and time making her go crazy and to lose parts of her memories of her own and what she lived going through all those tests and dimensions. Now she takes Horizon accountable of all those horrible things thah happened to her and she seeks revenge. Not knowing completely who she is. Something along the lines of the Marvel's Loki series.

My batshit crazy nonsense theory is that Alter is an alternative dimension child of Horizon. Alter is Horizon’s son (who transitioned or something idk) who went crazy from being experimented on like Wraith and is now getting revenge on the mother who never came back for her. In every universe.

Isnt apex packs content are seasled the moment you got the pack? Like if you got pack right now, it allready have predetermined 3 items from the currently available loot pool, and even if you open it 10 seasons later, it will still only drop old items?

I am REALLY EXCITED for this season. I love the 2D animation and it looks like a COMPLETE supervillain motive for her. If she could be anything or do anything like change the past or stuff like that, that’s a huge change to the story but I love the concept of that so much. I hope the trailer is as good as the story for her may be and hopefully for Apex as a whole.

This may be crazy, but hear me out on what would be a cool thing for Alter: Like Elsie Bray of Destiny 1 and 2, she can hop dimensions, which we know. But what if, in those dimensions and/or timelines, the legend she is telling the backstory of simply does not exist? You see, we all think of all dimensions/universes being parallel, but that may not be the case. Instead, what if Alter took the positions of other legends' pasts from alternate dimensions, corrupting her psyche in the process? This would explain why she appears to be crazy in all the art we have seen of her, in addition to her having such a potentially multifaceted backstory. That or she's just a complete wacko with a massive murderous intent.

I think Alter is either Horizon's alternatyw version that went cray-cray after losing time and her son. OR it is Newt (maybe some variant) that hates his/her mom for not coming back for them. 😅
I think that apex’s is it true is basically how in nature an apex predator is the highest on the food chain and the apex (as standard) is the highest so maybe alter is saying ‘ok so you all call yourself the apex predators so let’s see if it’s true’ as if she will be an evil character and will try fight the other legends (probably mainly horizon). Mark my words, solos is gonna explode then it will be abbandoned, in season 2 it was pretty boreing, it was litterally just camp and 3rd party to victory. I won my first match by hideing in a tree and snipeing the last guy, second match same way , didn't matter how many kills he had, he just got out of fighting six people then I came along with a nade, didn't even explode, I just bonked him with it, turnout without team mates to come to the rescue third partying is way easyer
