Exactly, any so-called consciousness-expanding drugs merely lead away from oneself. But the truth lies within oneself and the key is surrender.

It really struck me when Maharishikaa spoke about how once you've had a cosmic experience, you will always be searching for it here and will never, ever be able to find it. I always thought that state of consciousness was something I would reach again if I was totally pure and had offered myself completely. It is such a relief to live my life now, not constantly searching for something outside my material existence and subsequently feeling like I have failed God.

These medicines seem to be a shortcut to the Truth but with no sustainability. I love what Maharishikaa says: "If you’re in this body then the experience of the perception must happen through the body, here and now".

I understand what she is saying, and she is speaking from her tradition. but wonder if she is speaking from experience with plant medicine. I did psilocybin and I had a life transforming experience. it showed me my own death, grieve for my mother and left me with a overwhelming sense of love. It gave me years, even decades worth of insight that positively benefited my life. I think the point is not to be “spaced out” all the time but use these medicines in selective, respectful therapeutic ways and then integrate the knowledge back into your daily life.

I think it is okay to do some drugs. I like smoking weed from time to time and it does help me to connect with my heart space so much easier. Instantly actually. Of course it is important to connect with your soul without drugs as well. Both. And not only high. You are right, integrating the knowledge in your sober life should be essential

I sense that it is all being taken out of context of what Maharishika has said. And I can speak from experience that it can only help you so much because yes, the idea is to ground the consciousness into our physical vessel to live "heaven on earth" and for that we need the body to be in a state of good health and surrender. Surrender As in surrender to the truth, to our true nature.
As she said, if you partake in ceremonies then you do it with total conviction just like the true shamans do and serve and assist them whilst you learn from them.. that is a type of Sadhana and you won't see that anywhere as there are so many shaman "facilitators" everywhere and only a percentage that have gone through the process over long periods of time with the original shamans and have integrated the wholeness of the sacred practice..... There is much more to the ceremonies that the original tribes do through sacred rituals and conversations in unity with the tribe on a daily basis so everyone is in unison and the inner work is continuous.
To be truly enlightened, like Mahashirika said, one wouldn't like it to be totally surrendered from an egoic pint of view...and she is totally correct that the way it is going is that we will have to ground that consciousness into the body...(that has to be at its optimum or one can just burn away as it won't be able to hold it.)....so ground that pure consciousness into the body and therefore be fully awakened and operative through our physical body in BEING.
A lot do not get this and I have no judgement or remorse for plant medicines, they really do help and they would help if it is done right and in the sacred way the indigenous tribes have practiced for milenia.
I totally respect the medicines as I have seen how they can be easily mistaken and "misused" without the person knowing because of the initial mind blowing transformations that they have had.
All is good. Yes I agree too that they help people, it's helped me but the real inner grounding work still needs to be done in order that our Human potential as Spiritual Beings having a human experience can be fully embraced and integrated....and whwre we truly connect with being an image of the Creator and the Created.
      Aum, Ashé, Satnam....
      In La'k 'ech 🙏🏾🌀🌎♥️

Such a “trendy” thing amongst spiritually geared people, to want to try shamanic processes and medicine to experience something and have a “trip” in the spiritual world. It’s a totally different point of view to hear about what a person actually has to lose, to have those experiences. And to hear about Shamanic framework also including principles of Guru Shishya exchanges. And how the missing piece or key is again Surrender. I love how Maharishikaa is never judging or moralistic, but clear, loving and opens up understandings of spiritual experiences through drugs, in a whole new way.

All of the younger generations who dream of going to the Amazon in order to find something beyond themselves through power plants and shamans should read Carlos Casteneda's stories with special emphasis on his relationship with Don Juan Mateus. One of his principal teachings concerns "self importance". Westerners are very attached to their own personal psychologies and expect listeners to be intrigued in those reflections. But it is like relating a dream. No-one is ever interested in hearing about another's dream and they only listen out of politeness. It is a kind of V.I.P mentality and a search for someone who will understand them and see their specialness, especially their special suffering. One time Carlos asked Don Juan if his other apprentices used power plants and he replied no. Then why did you give them to me then? Carlos asked. Because you are dumb, he replied.

I feel what is most important about plant medicine is the integration period and really letting the plants be the elders who are guiding you back to you. Always pointing back to the truth that it is all inside of you. If you are not surrendering to the teachings of the plants then you not getting the full benefits of the medicine. The plants teach boundaries, which exist within the body. embodying the integration is always the key. But not all will take the path of deep embodiment.
I spent 11 years integrating and embodying the medicine of one Ayahuasca ceremony.
It’s all about listening to the body and its pace of integrating.
Plant medicine is very important at this time of evolution. We (as a collective) are learning how to work with it for the sake of presence.

Never ask a person who is not experienced. You will allways get the same answer.
Unfortunately it's allways the same missunderstanding out of not knowing (but believing to know.)
From the outside it seems as if its a seperation from the system and an escape into the transzendental, and yes: It CAN be.
But it can also reconnect with the system more deeply, besides all the other effects.
It depends on the intention of the person and how he/she integrates what was revealed.
Hopefully the young man won't be to dependend from the outside guru, and will find out himself.

There are different stages of the medicine. In ceremony, there can be several medicines. Ayahuasca has different lessons, some very personal, and some ultimate. It can show you the dirt of your body and ego, but it does require surrender. I hope everyone gets to see that. But the return to body can be missing. With other medicines, the return to body can bring home the lesson - you are here, right now, in this body. And if you're very lucky, you will awaken long into the sober state to experience the ever present love and synchronicity that our 5 senses can "see". But to her point, yes, if you look around the medicine crowd, there are some people who feel distant as if they are communicating to you from another timezone. I do think there is a point where you can over-do it, where you are using medicine for help but not surrendering, which puts you on the ego's merry-go-round.

That was the first time i paid for the experience.. and the first time i threw up like this guy did. And they were telling me.. oh, you are purging the negative.... but i was just vomitting. People keep wanting to take ayahuasca again and again.. but there is no need.. because once is enough.. you get a message.. and you follow... If you go back for the message again and again.. what use is the message. It becomes a habit... addiction to outer-body experience. • @StraightUniversalism

Spoken from non experience, the substance put on trauma, not necessarily, or cause dissociation, no, not necessarily.
What a teacher says of the cases, that come to her for help or clarify their confusion isn't, aren't necessarily representative..
Yeah it can be stressful, or not, it's like an amplifying or opening tool, it can be used balanced or not, little easy amounts, or getting kinda messed up.. but can all be recovered, it also shows no toxicity on the body unlike alcohol.
I think meditation, dream sleep yoga, is better and healthier and brings more peace etc. more balanced than all that shamanism nuttyness.
But a bit can be helpful every now and then, and may not cause dissociation at all in my view,
and many westerners are not disciplined enough to start sober practice, and wouldn't have gone started without a blast from the past. But regular use without sober practice may cause more delusion, sure.
But you could already tell what she was going to say before watching the video, the yoga saddhana practicioners would never say ah yes take some.

hawaiian baby woodrose seeds gave me a temporary kundalini awakening and a taste of samadhi, permanently pried open my third eye, and gave me several siddhis. at the same time, taking various psychedelics over a period of just 5 years has definitely damaged my brain and made me spaced out, just like maharishikaa said. especially when actively taking them, i am ineffective if not totally incompetent at living sober life. another issue is the paradoxical combination of subtle spiritual pride with a feeling of unworthiness at having acquired these unearned spirit gifts. these are both much greater obstacles on the path than one might imagine. i'm still not sure whether it was a good idea to take them.

I appreciate this rather conservative stance on and critique of the psychedelic route to enlightenment. But I can’t say I fully agree, and I also feel she didn’t really answer. At no point was he asking for her blessing.
she asks at one point “I’m enlightened and now what?”
Well, I’m on a sacred medicine journey and it’s so beautiful and the “drugs” have taught me so much.
They have not only given me transcendental experiences but also shown me practical guidance , I’ve never been more clear about what the path I want to take in life and have never been more confident about it.
It’s not perfect but at least I’m more in touch with my heart, my gut instincts and intuitions.
As a consequence I’m way more sure about the services I provide in my spiritual community and I have increased them.
I’ve never felt more motivated to practice meditation, learn about spiritual practices and I’ve never understood better the benefits of practicing meditation regularly.
I love Centering myself and grounding myself, and practicing being present just as much as I love exploring the vast dimensions of consciousness once in a while.
Psilocybin is also very promising for my adhd, my mind has improved greatly, I finally feel that I can live up to my highest potential mentally.
As for the body, I continue to swim, run, ride, go to the gym and I’ve never been more consistent in building up a strong and healthy body.
I have to admit I was lucky enough to have found and devoted myself to a lifesaving spiritual program that keeps me humble and growing as a person.
But I really do believe that the sacred medicines like aya, bufo, mushrooms,
San Pedro can be powerful tools for spiritual growth and maturity.
