There are a lot of things to know about Akwa Ibom state. Though Tayo made a 3-part series about the state, and this is just one video of the series. I know there are places he did not go to. The state is arguably the most peaceful state in the country, with rich natural resources, very rich culture, surplus sea foods, longest beach in Africa (I think), beautiful greenery, peace-loving people and very welcoming, etc. etc. Feels good to know your reaction about the state.

Akwa Ibom is the best kept SECRET of Nigeria. The State has its own Airport with MRO and Airplanes (IBOM AIR) fully owned and operated by the State. The State has its own Power Plant too, and currently on the verge of Constructing its own Sea Port (IBOM DEEP). SEA PORT.

I saw absolutely nothing in uyo than empty nice roads..plus very sparse population...don't see any nice upscale restaurants that was every corner of lagos..there was absolutely nothing to do...only one highrise in four point..while in lagos that's was everywhere...I really don't think there is a comparison here...uyo is for ppl who want quiet life lagos is for ppl who want entertainment and fun..plus lagos is overhauling its chaotic past and trying to evolve into a world class destination I strongly believe...so many works are going on in lagos I believe before 2030 it will be a top destination in Africa.. I don't even think they are interested in all these competitions

Lagos has more infrastructure than uyo .but uyo has better road network than lagos ,currently they're building smart aiport one in a kind in West Africa, only state with her own airline. Also, building her deep seaport owned by the state government. Food is number one in the country, most cleaness city in Nigeria and one of the cleanest in Africa as a whole ..best stadium in Nigeria and west Africa. Nice review of a sleepy, peaceful city. I love Akwa Ibom folks.
I am not from Akwa Ibom but I can tell you the people are some of the most hardworking citizens of Nigeria. I know this because I have some of them working for me in Nigeria !
Next, you might like to review the cities of Calabar and Port Harcourt. I attended the University of Port Harcourt ( best days of my life), and I can tell you that the city of Port Harcourt was a big rival to Lagos, back in the 80s. It's all gone a bit pear-shape now, with all the crime and insecurity. But, if you can look beyond all of that, you will be amazed at the beauty of Port Harcourt.

You shouldn't call Akwa Ibom State "sleepy place". Akwa Ibom State is the highest oil and gas producer in Nigeria, nay Africa. From oil profits from Akwa Abasi Ibom State the rest of the country is built. The only State with their airline, when Nigeria as a country has no airline. How sleepy can that be? Continue looking down on Akwa Ibom State while we keep rising.
