Absolutely! Also the interaction between drums, bass and guitar is what this is really all about.
This is very true. Sure, the riffs have to have that rhythm and feel, but a good drummer emphasizes those parts and that tight playing is what makes a headbanger.
That's because the drums are the thing keeping time signature. You'll find anything in a 4/4 beat is easier to headbang to than say, 6/8 or 3/4 etc. There are many reasons why most music is done at 4/4, the natural feel to headbanging at it is just one more lol.

Nice idea! Although I run this channel and therefore have transcribed and recorded like 200+ riffs my mind still goes blank when I'm trying out new guitars in the shop...

Nice idea, but it has one flaw. You would have to be good at tuning guitar by ear to play more than one of these riffs ;)

Just FYI. In Flames don't use Drop C. They play in C standard, or Drop A#

I had not heard of the Cirice song before this, I would like to see a full instrumental if you don’t mind.
I looked up the actual song and your tone is different, there’s something different you’re doing and I’m not educated enough to know, but I like this version better.
I’m listening on 1.25, so at 2:00 that riff pops in and immediately grabs your attention
So after listening to the song back to back with this, the guitar sounds like it has higher gain, more treble and possibly more high mids
Hey man, small little detail about "sad but true": you have to slide up to that first pull-off, after the chugs. It's a small touch, but it makes your riffing sound a lot more like the original.

Very glad to see Mastodon here. But imo they have much more headbanging riffs than just Blood and Thunder. For example Seabeast, High Road, Iron Tusk, Sultans Curse or Curl of the Burl. They have a very wide selection of great riffs. Its not just Blood and Thunder.

Shame you didn’t play more of the SOAD riff but good choices. Not to be that guy but Pantera nearly always tuned just slightly ‘off’ by a quarter or so, just be warned if you’re playing to the record
Yes absolutely correct, you need to tune down 1/4 step or to 430hz to match the tuning on the album. I think it's somewhat annoying if you want to play along to their records, so I prefer to just play their riffs in "normal" tuning here on my channel.

What does d standard mean
It's the tuning of the according riff. E standard is the "normal" guitar tuning, D standard means everything is tuned down a whole step.
