Towards the end of the video you opened front panel "sata" I think you said, and pulled out a box. I don't understand what that area or box is for? The wi-fi, it came with antennas, is it hard to set up? Last but not least can this PC play World Of Warcraft, Elder Scrolls Online or Guild Wars 2? Thank you for your time.

    • @christrubl5014
      @christrubl5014 Před 3 lety

      Yes, this pc would play all those games at max quality. In general, online mmorpg genre games don’t usually require super high end gear. For most mmorpg games, to max out all details, you just need an i5 or Ryzen 5 series cpu or better and a Nvidia 2060 or amd 580 or better to max out details. You might be able to go a little lower in specs but that’s a decent midrange pc.

    • @christrubl5014
      @christrubl5014 Před 3 lety

      That area in the front you are referencing with the box that he pulled out, that is the hard drive bay. The hard drive bay allows you to expand the computers storage with alternative drives to the newer NVME SSD that this computer comes with (the seagate firecuda 520 series). Usually 2.5” SSD’s and old 3.5” mechanical hard drives are much cheaper than the new NVME SSD’s. They are cheaper because they are slower but offer better price per gigabyte of storage. For most people, an standard 2.5” SSD is a great option. NVME SSD’s are going to be best utilized by people that transfer a lot of large files often, such as content creators. Games don’t really see a benefit yet with the faster NVME drives but that will most likely change over the next 2 - 3yrs as they become more common on PC’s and developers use the extra bandwidth to stream larger textures into games in real time like how next gen consoles (PS5 and Xbox) are doing. The WiFi shouldn’t be hard to setup, the antennas screw onto the two RF connectors at the top on the back of the PC. Windows 10 will usually automatically load the drivers for the WIFI, so all you would need to do is click on the wireless logo in the windows task bar, find your WiFi’s network name and enter your password.

      @@christrubl5014 would this pc work good for Fortnite

    • @christrubl5014
      @christrubl5014 Před 2 lety +3

      @@scrxp3696 Short answer - yes this computer will play fortnight at max setting and achieve very high fps.
      This computer is way overkill just to play fortnight. You could get a computer much cheaper than this and be able to run fortnight at full detail with relatively high FPS. Esport titles like fortnight, generally do not take a whole lot of computer to run since they are trying to capture the widest audience possible. If you’re on a tight budget the minimum processor you want to go with is an intel i3 (I wouldn’t really go further back than an 8th gen) or better, or AMD ryzen 3 2000 series or better. For GPU, you could get away with the on board graphics from intel or AMD’s APU’s but it won’t be the greatest experience. It’s playable but you just have to turn the graphics /details all the way down and even then you’re going to get 20-30fps. For a dedicated GPU don’t go older than AMD’s 400 series (Polaris) or nvidia’s 900 series (maxwell), that way you get a few more years of updates for drivers. Think of it this way, you can play fortnight on the most basic iPhone’s and most android phones. The better the hardware the better fidelity and more FPS you can run the game at. If you can afford a $2000+ computer like this then get it, you won’t be disappointed. it’s definitely over kill for fortnight but if you plan on picking up other games on the PC to play then this will play all current games at max settings between 1080p - 1440p resolution with high frame rates (160+ fps) or most games at 4K max detail and achieve consistent 60-100fps.

      You will usually hear mixed opinions about most prebuilt companies. It really depends on which of their technicians assembled the computer. Some techs take more pride in their work than others and double or triple check the connections before shipping the computer off to you. Granted, things can get bumped around during shipping but they usually place those expanding foam bags inside the computer to prevent components from getting jostled around. if you have the option of ordering one of these prebuilt’s through Amazon or bestbuy then I would do that versus going direct through Skytech. With the retailers, you at least have the option of taking it back to them for a refund if Skytech’s support sucks or they don’t want to help resolve the issue within the return window. Just know, in this current market you are going to be paying a little more for prebuilts than before and if you are ok with that, then buy one.
