They're one of the best bands of the past 15 years. Musically I don't think there's anyone like them. When it comes to production and guitar tones, they're in a league of their own. Just a super unique band, and they put on an awesome live show too.
UMO is good af and I love Rubans overall guitar playing style and influences he brings into the music, it’s a great example to show that there are really talented people out there even if they start out not having much money at all or anyone to sponsor them
Fun fact: the drums on Bicycle were sampled from Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise) and some of the songs were from samples as well Also there was a funny story of his brother Kody making him listen to Ffunny Ffrends and Ruban revealing that it was him lol eventually Kody played the drums on II and onwards. check his music out as well! Opossum and Silicon plus he has a few albums too under his name.

I found UMO by accident one late night having a smoke. Blew my mind. So weird and brilliant and interesting. II is one of the best albums ever. Modern classic
This is a great vid! I didn't know the context of the building on the cover, that was really interesting to learn. My favourite UMO album is Multi-Love. Obviously the backstory is really interesting, but I love its unique mixing, it's so warm and close, almost a bit claustrophobic. The album takes a lot of turns genre-wise, but it never feels jarring, and I just love every song!
UMO continues to be one of my favorite bands, bringing something unique but true to his form with each successive album. I appreciate each album, front to back, which is not something I can say about the other artists I follow.

Would just say that you are incorrect about the drums - they are actually sampled (most of them anyway) you can look it up through google. I too thought he recorded them!

I really love the classical influences UMO as someone who grew up in ballet (ie being forced to listen to classical constantly)
