I think this is the car that Jeremy Clarkson reviewed many years ago on Top Gear and said, "You could have a head-on collision with a train and you wouldn't realise anything had gone wrong until you read about the carnage in the newspaper the next day.".
That's classic Clarkson.

@@htimsid ya I remember that what episode was that I'd love to watch it again
d2factotum no it is not. This is a turbo R, sounds sporty but is a pretty worthless car dynamicaly. The Arnage T Clarkson reviewed is a newer car, on a different platform in a different decade.
Guys I think we need to hold an intervention for Tyler.
You know it's serious when the Wizard cuts him off and he still goes and buys an old Bentley....
Okay well he didn't buy it, but one nightmare for what looks like another? Sheesh.
The wizard tends to be a bit of a dick sometimes..
This guy has been an almost 100% loyal customer and he says the shit he said in that last video.. Sorry dude!! HOOVIE needs to find a new Wizard!!
@Ed H, the fact that you don’t realize it’s staged is making me laugh right now
Adil Shariff cutting him off didn’t work. The only thing that can stop Tyler from buying a car is to cut his head off
Wizard is the go to. That was for video only lmao.... Wizard makes to much money off Tyler to cut him off for real lol
"This car is leaking everywhere!"
*parks it over a Persian rug
Star1018 🤣😂🤣
My thoughts exactly...lol🤣
That rug isn't Persian. It's barely Home Goods.
That’s why he parked it there, so the rug could absorb the leaks from the car & it doesn’t stain his garage floor
If you look closely, it looks like some sort of cut rubber based mat, like a door mat.

Hi Tyler, I just wanted to send you a little message about your Turbo R.
My Dad had a 91 model exactly the same as yours about 20 years ago and absolutely loved it. He unfortunately had to change it as the fuel costs were getting crazy, however for the 5 years he owned it I thought it was the most luxurious thing ever and was amazing getting dropped off at school in it haha.
My Dad passed away last year and the Turbo R was always one of his favourite cars he had ever owned and seeing you drive around in yours brings back a lot of fond memories for me and my brothers so I look forward to watching you enjoy it as much as he did.
Thanks as always for the awesome content, you've earned a lifetime sub from me.

Well, you saw him doing a burnout on the video so you technically witnessed it.
Probably not an unusual occurrence for 1990 Bentley, about 1995. When they become hand me down 3rd cars to the 16 year old sons of the people who bought them new. Show me a 16 year old who didn't attempt to do burn outs on a Fri/Sat night while driving parent's car when out with friends?

The hydraulic system is licensed from Citroen. Based on the year of the car it would probably be based on the Hydractive H2. The most likely suspect for the LHM leaks you're having would probably be the return lines that go back to the reservoir from the spheres, they're made out of a specialized rubber because the LHM is pretty corrosive. Even so with age they start to fail. If it turns out to be those rubber lines the advice would be to replace them all and not patch them.
L.E.: LHM is the name of the green mineral oil used by Citroen for these hydraulic systems, it stands for "liquide hydraulique minéral"
I think you made all of that up.

I love the Bentley Turbo R: it is the car that brought relevance back to the Bentley brand.
It is considered a Rolls Royce/Bentley “SZ” chassis.
Ricardo PLC actually did the chassis tuning on behalf of Rolls-Royce and Bentley motorcars.
Rolls Royce Club of America has PDF copies of the service manual for this vehicle on their website.
The slow electric power windows are a well-documented problem and can be fixed by adding a relay and new wiring in the doors.
Non-functional power seats is another common issue which can be remedied by repairing the control box under each seat. Frequently, the integral battery leaks and damages the printed circuit board.
The hydraulic system is complex compared to most cars, but it’s relatively straightforward to service. Components can be expensive. White Post Restorations in Virginia can rebuild many of the components.
Most components for these cars are not available at local auto parts stores or from rockauto.com. Bentley of Zionsville (Indiana) is where most do it yourself owners purchase their components.
Only two replacement tires are available for this car: the original Avon TurboSpeed and the Goodyear Eagle LS
Enjoy the ride!
Wizard.....
Hoovie’s neighbors must be getting used to him pulling two cars out of the garage and talking when no one is there and breaking mustard jars.

This one is actually better built and simpler than that POS glorified VW Phaeton Bentley he bought last year.
Old Bentleys are Bentleys. The Conti series are pure VW. Only the Mulsanne is a real, live, new Bentley.

@6:54 , you have a vacuum line missing from the fuel pressure regulator mate .
The dealio sticking out the top of the fuel pressure regulator? Yup, missing vacuum line. That's probably the cause of it running rough at idle. Good eye davemonkey0057
I wonder how much the wizard will charge him to fix that? LOL!
Are you sure? Many fuel pressure regulators have to have an atmospheric port to work. They often look like they should have a hose but they don’t actually.
@@swooshdave on turbo vehicles it uses it, because as the "vacuum" line goes from vacuum to positive boost it is increasing the fuel pressure 1:1
Unicorn Gas I might tend to agree with you but if that vacuum line is missing would it get enough fuel to run that well? I would guess it wouldn’t. I’m no Bentley turbo expert, so I can’t say for sure.
It’s KE jetronic and the fuel pressure in the regulator is also controlled by a computer.

Thats so badass being dropped by a bentley or a Royce kids will love you because they think youre rich and single moms will hit your dad
Great rumbling V8 sound in the background. Great car! Ditch the BMW Phantom please.
I ran a Turbo R for 20,000 miles a few years ago, commuting between Edinburgh and Marrakesh. I drove it as hard as could - it would wind off the clock given a chance. Off roaded it in the snow. Took rubbish to the dump. It only failed to start once (a dead battery). Maintenance was a few thousand, but I sold it for what I paid for it, and the car is alive and running in Australia still. Try that with a Conti GT or a Phantom.
I think Hoovie found his new favorite car. It's been a while since I've seen him with this much excitement over a car!

@@delphius1 Adds a little mystery to the package. Which no one can figure out just where it came from.
Ride comfort
thought it looked alot like a 240 volvo which ive had a few of
And a General Motors transmission, which from this era is probably the most reliable thing in it.
Awesome trade! Good job Hoovie!
Don’t worry too much Hoovie, hopefully you have the luck I’ve had. I bought one of these in February, 5000 miles later, nothing has broken. It’s picky about fuel, It really likes Chevron and Shell, Other gas stations like Sunoco have given me a rough idle. Nothing serious. Believe it or not, it’s a pretty sturdy car. All the leaks are referred to as controlled seepage, lol. The power steering leak is a couple seals, not too big a deal, easy fix. Mine had that too. Also, it drips oil here and there. Not much, a spot or two every two weeks. I agree, best luxury value, even the new cars don’t have the ride quality, one feels almost nothing when going over railroad tracks. The hydraulic suspension is amazing. The brakes are weird with the nitrogen pressurization, but hey, they work, even if it be on a delay.
Still more reliable than the Continental GT
Put a bumper sticker on it. "Get Bent"
@D Brown Yass. I also used to flip cars a lot. Like a lot a lot. Vanity plates slowed me down a bit. Pick the right one and the car wears it well enough to keep both.
